I modified a small picatinny rail section and mounted it in the same place. I them mounted a Modlite Modbutton Mount with a SF Scout Light. Worked great incorporating the mount and the button into one unit.

I’ve done plenty, but I have almost two decades in metal fabrication. Hell, I pinned and welded a suppressor on one of my carbines! With that being said, send it out to D. Wilson MFG and get it done right.
My experiences have been great, but regardless I don't know any other retailer with the physical inventory they have, especially for a niche product like this.
IMO, Colt lowers trump everything else. Partly because of the TDP, but also because I just can’t wrap my head around H&R, Aero, PSA etc. marking commercial lowers as “Property of U.S. Govt.” It just feels like a cheap marketing ploy. I’d rather have an authentic Colt lower, whether it’s marked AR15A4, M4, “Carbine” or whatever else. Since none of us have access to true M16/M4 lowers, I don’t see how it makes sense to pretend otherwise.
I just used it this week to strip a rifle. It didn’t have any effect on the pistol grip or the rubberized sling swivel coating. I let it sit for about 45-60mins.
If the suppressor is larger than the barrel, like the picture, you will need to create room for it in the stock. Most .22 rimfire cans are 1” in diameter, so they will match most bull barrels.
No crush washer, only shims. No issues with carbon buildup or locking. The only slight downside is the need for spanner wrenches to tighten down the mount.
I mean this is a plinking gun it will live most of its life with a cmmg 22lr bolt and I doubt I'll actually use the toob. It's just for looky news. I've handled 203's but I carried a 320 for quite a while and you also can't have shit on there. I proffered the 203 as I don't like carrying a dismounted launcher. It's nice in theory but I proffered the functionality of having it at my finger tips all the time.

I don’t really shoot my carry gun (p229 SAO Legion) because I have an identically set up p226 SAO Legion that I train with.

I was trying to pick a suppressor, not sure yet. Was thinking of using a 5.56 suppressor potentially so I guess that'd be a lot thicker.
Get a user serviceable 5.56 can of you want the look of a full-sized suppressor. Rimfire is very very dirty
