1. This guy has not seen that one clip of Alison Pill in Dear Wendy.

  2. Welp, my journey might be on hold for a bit - between a 24-70 2.8 lens for my Nikon and a Sony RX100VII that were both solid enough deals, I think I'll just stay on the B&H list until I recoup my losses. That Fujifilm still looks like a real fun, stellar camera - but man, I couldn't pass up these two for the work I'm looking to do, professional and... Less professional. Oh well, it'll be nice in September to see them get to my order.

  3. Enjoy the new gear! I had the mark 3 of that Sony camera; I just couldn’t get used to all the menu digging! Maybe they’ve changed it though!

  4. Thanks! I keep hearing that it's one of the best for concert photography simply because security usually sees it as an amateur camera vs a full mirrorless kit, on top of it actually having solid zoom, AF and lowlight capabilities. Real excited to take it to those bigger events that my normal kit wouldn't fly in.

  5. I understand this varies from state to state but Joel looks and sounds like hundreds of thousands of Americans in my state.

  6. The problem with that is that there's a population of people who still wouldn't see Joel as an actual American because of that.

  7. One time I walked in and asked for a specific TPB. When he said they didn’t have it I said I’m already here. I’m sure I can find something and he told me no browsing and to leave. Glad it’s not just me cause it’s bugged me ever since

  8. I find it INSANE that anyone with a store would deny someone the passive pleasure of browsing. If it's 5 minutes to close, sure, but like, during business hours? Why even let people into the store ever at that point? Replace the entrance with like, a bank teller window instead. Browsing is how you end up buying more than Intended, that's just.... I'm stunned.

  9. The driver saw me take the photo and I just yelled about how cool it was, but it was kind of funny watching her stand off to the side so I could get a clean shot.

  10. Oh shit I figured it was a neckbeard's vehicle. An actual woman drove it? Was it real life samus?

  11. I mean, the bait and switch of people thinking "oh a dude owns this" and then learning it was not a dude but in fact a woman is practically exactly what happened in the 80s when people beat the original Metroid so. In a way.

  12. I feel like you've got to mention Mario Kart Wii's Rainbow Road though - that's where boys became men (and laps went by faster than 64)

  13. Resident Evil taught me that its always good to have extra inventory.

  14. You can't do both? I know there are consequences in the other games but is it not available in Reload?

  15. Apparently the only real consequence I've heard is an awkward silence between the female party members of they're all romanced and in the same party, and I think an annoyed comment about not spending Christmas together.

  16. Maaaaan, and here I thought I had gotten a steal on a Z 24-70 f/2.8 for about 1600 on eBay after tax. Guess I should've been looking on Mercari too! The satisfaction of a good steal like that is incredible though.

  17. It's the fully realized movie adaptation with Lucas Lee as Scott.

  18. Thats a great point. I feel like theyre all able to act more towards how they are internally and yet, Ren is affected the most. Maybe this really is the case but i love your point.

  19. I feel like one of the best examples is how he wears glasses to look less intense and soften his look even though he doesn't need them. The anime shows this too when he gets them knocked off by Kamoshida and glares at him with the fury of God.

  20. I think a recent example is Lisa Frankenstein feels like that exact type of underrated "weird girl" movie that gets a major cult following in 5 years. I guess we won't know for 5 years, but my friend said it felt like the exact kind of movie she would've obsessed over at 13 (as a 28 year old).

  21. God I really, really wish Joker had summoned Satanael to rip off Adam’s mask before the shot.

  22. I got sort of spoiled about Raoul, his 3rd tier persona, and I thought there was gonna be some epic flying/gliding scene over the city as he came down to deliver the last blow.

  23. I like the idea, but I'm gonna be honest here. I don't think the movie format has enough time to properly flesh out 7 mini bosses, so Koopalings are probably out.

  24. In addition to the way the movies run time will likely be set-up, I don't think anyone ever remembers that you'd also have to find an additional SEVEN actors to voice them. Adding Jr makes the most sense because it's only one new person to cast.

  25. My gripe is I have more nostalgia for SA1 so my bias heavily leans towards it. Somehow I just never got SA2 as a kid but I did play the HELL out of SA1 so that's what I love it more.

  26. You literally have Confidant convos to go through with Haru and you can invite her out to places at your free time. I never get how the community would universally agree she “never gets any screentime”.

  27. It might be also due to the fact that, if I remember right, you need to have Max level proficiency, which at least for me on my very first playthrough took a good second so, it took a while before I even COULD spend time with her. It was rough considering you needed to get to like rank 1 to Baton Pass in Vanilla and she'd mess up that flow...

  28. As a relatively normal dude, my pool was about 0.09%

  29. Whedonspeak is when writers feel the need to make everyone in the story the comedic relief. They always have the most “clever” response to any given situation at the drop of a hat. More often than not, it just sounds like someone’s lame uncle trying to communicate with younger people.

  30. I've also seen it called "Marvel Wit" which might help for anyone not familiar with the Whedonspeak term. Some of those tropey "Ok, this is happening" and "Listen here, [snarky nickname]" and failure to add any weighty dialogue to a situation.

  31. Well I'd ask Future Ramona "Hey do you remember what we did this day?" and go there. It's her 2nd round so clearly she knows more than I do about what was fun.

  32. Oh, this was Viewtiful Joe 2 for me when I was like, 9! I had a gift card at Best Buy and the cover art was a visual treat for a kid like me. I recently replayed it, and honestly I think it holds up fairly well for the most part! I think the first was a little better though, when I finally got to try it.

  33. I think if/when they ever pull the trigger on following through with the alluded Elizabeth fool plotline, she'll drag Theo and Margaret along somehow.

  34. Persona V, where you think they're going to milk Persona 5 for the umpteenth time only to realize it stands for Velvet and have 5* attendants.
