1. I am sure that's what they meant, but it seems it was a bit more than just bullied, the way Nils and August talked about it, maybe something even worse happened TO them, it was at least powerful enough to get them to change part of the initiation. And knowing these guys, how they loooove to feel on top, why would they subject themselves to humilations and than choose not to do that to others? It's out of character for them, so it must've been real bad.

  2. I came to this thread so talk about this specifically. In the episode they seem to indicate that august and Erik were a lot closer than we know and that the three of them really went through it so I’m curious as to what that all means.

  3. So I’m intrigued by the gender bent Michael idea. Would John still be male and have a female cousin?

  4. Great commentary on this from greenisnotnick highly recommend

  5. She related to him in that way and I believe she pities him as well. I would say she doesn’t care for him as a husband but understands him as a person.

  6. Maybe they'll cast the same actor for both roles and make him wear a mustache as one of the characters. Problem solved!

  7. Releasing a casting takes attention away from Polin. They need the attention to stay on the main couple to get the audience excited for this season. I doubt they would reveal a Sophie prior to season 3.

  8. I feel the same way. I also am worried about what plot they’re going to add to take up all that screen time. Felicity was in the book a good bit but the show dropped her altogether. I really did not enjoy what they did with Portia last season and I don’t want to be let down again.

  9. Sure! Go ahead and make things even harder for college students! Now they can’t even watch Netflix in peace

  10. The reason I love book 6 is because it’s different in some of these ways to the rest, mostly in the way Francesca is in no way innocent or under the rakish control of Michael

  11. I love Michael and Francesca and they don’t get enough attention or credit online. Also their 🌶 scenes are superior since she isn’t clueless.

  12. A big part of Sophie’s story was not wanting to be a mistress, get pregnant and condemn a child to being a ‘bastard’ because she knew from first hand experience how horrible that was, so for Benedict that storyline wouldn’t work at all!

  13. They wouldn’t change Sophie to a man, it would be more along the lines of Sophie ends up with Eloise and Benedict gets with another man

  14. So, Benedict and...Sir Phillip?

  15. In the case of Kate, I think she got carried away and didn’t care enough to stop it because she knew she wasn’t going to be married anyway. And afterwards Anthony planned to propose to her.

  16. Anthony. Because he’s hot. Reallyyyy hot. Or maybe Colin to kick his ass for saying insensitive crap to his friends for Penelope. He could’ve said something similar but way more respectful and mature…

  17. If it was Colin you’d be stuck watching him eat biscuits

  18. They glossed over a plot point that is much more important in the book. Kate is terrified of storms. While they did have the scene in the library, it was lacking. The true scene was much more emotional, dramatic, and sweet.

  19. They completely skipped a scene I really enjoyed. It involves Kate, Anthony, and Maria/Siena in his study.

  20. Yes! The season it’s self was spectacular and I loved it but fell short compared to the book. Season 2 felt like the same characters but an entirely different story.

  21. The thing that disappointed me the most was they fell short on some of the pivotal scenes that I love in the book including the ones in his study and the library. 🙁

  22. Absolutely my thought as well. It also feels as if they are already changing Eloise's story.

  23. Completely agree! I was just about to make a discussion post about the changes to Eloise’s story
