1. That's like saying getting winded after walking from your couch to the kitchen is no worse than getting winded after running on your treadmill for 10 minutes.

  2. Yes, that was my point. You seem to think Biden barely being able to string together 4 words without getting the name of a leader or city wrong or trailing away into a dull mumble is equally as concerning and Trump's rambling digressions. I disagree.

  3. Trump cannot digress because a digression implies there was ever a point he just waffles about and in the end they're both equally unfit to be president. Biden makes no use of the time he has and Trump makes sure to waste it.

  4. Their other cars have very poor build quality.

  5. I haven't really heard that from those I know that own teslas. So at least for the typical car owner, it's good enough.

  6. The average person isn't about to bust out the micrometer. Teslas are built fine, even if they're not the absolute pinnacle of perfection.

  7. I'm pretty sure both German and Japanese and Korean vehicles are made in North America along with Ford. It's just cheaper to build them here than to ship them across the ocean.

  8. Are we talking about something like a box cutter, or just the first steak knife you saw in your kitchen?

  9. I'm thinking about the people that are just itching to use their favorite pocket knife for everything (I'm people).

  10. True there are people who are atheists who believe in spiritualist/conspiratorial stuff, my specific targeting of religion being so insane mostly stems from my experience with having insane religious parents

  11. I think it's probably not a great idea to take your experience with specifically fringe or extreme religious people and talk about it as though they are a good representation of the mainstream. That's a great way to make sure you never have an impactful conversation about the topic.

  12. I recommend you check your local library for solder tools! A surprising amount of libraries are starting to add maker spaces. Also check if you have any community maker spaces.

  13. Two anchors from the PD plate, ideally, per ‘D’. Anything from ‘A’ feels like it gets in the way.

  14. You should try putting an anchor on your strap and connecting it into a loop, and then clipping the other end to d. Then, the strap can stay there even if you take the camera off for a bit.

  15. FD. Good for big lenses. I'm also caught using DZ in places where I don't plan on keeping my camera hanging for more than a few seconds at a time, where Z is attached to the strap itself.

  16. That would be true if it's a straight account ban with no warning. If there are warnings or increasing consequences, I imagine it could make people stop using an ad-blocker long before they're kicked off the platform.

  17. It would make them change ad blocker or turn off their ad blocker for a few days until a new workaround is found.

  18. This only works as long as YouTube allows it to work.

  19. The point is that the draft is slavery and the USA will throw you in a meatgrinder killing people on the other side of the fucking world to score political points for elections. The vietcong did nothing wrong *in defending themselves from the US military*, they just defended themselves from fucking invaders sent to do nothing but kill.

  20. That's misinformation. The USA did not roll up on the shores of a quaint farming country, guns blazing. Vietnam was split into two different countries, with the South willingly allied with the US. The North attacked the South primarily with guerilla operations. Things then escalated from there, the US started to put more resources into South Vietnam, and that eventually escalated to a full blown war, with the US sending troops in. Eventually peace agreements were made, fighting resumed, and the last US troop left Vietnam, in that order.

  21. US had no fucking business there and the draft is slavery. Vietcong had their own country and their own disputes. We fucking invaded and tried to kill them all because it was popular to pretend like bombing peasants made capitalism look good.

  22. Leshy has a hole in his shoulder, the dealer is turned into a card, and the uno deck hasn’t even been opened yet. (They were arguing about stacking +2s.)

  23. No way, they would both agree. Leshy alters the game to be more fun with totems and stuff, the dealer loves the high stakes. They would both stack the +2.

  24. That's not a bad thing. Why reinvent a controller that's great for long periods of use, is very reliable, and has great support? They're good controllers.

  25. Expired Carbon fiber was used on the submersible, which is insane because good carbon fiber isn't rated for that kind of pressure anyway.

  26. Expired is probably not the best term, just not inspected as often as it should be. There's no rating system either, it's not like PVC where everything is standardized.

  27. Ah, thanks for that context. It makes a bit more sense now. The backdrop just looked like a small grocery store or petrol station to me.

  28. Even in gun stores this is unique. Ammo is usually sold neatly packed into boxes of even numbers.

  29. If this is the gun range I'm thinking of them they actually make and sell their own ammo. That's why it's sold like this.

  30. Oh yeah, that's a great way to sell recycled brass. Maybe that's why the prices are so low.

  31. Hygiene products and food can be bought on campus at both Rose Gardens (one of the dining options) and Circle K (a gas station at the edge of campus). Haircuts are harder, but if you make friends with cars or ask your resident assistant, you can get someone to drive you. You could probably organize group haircut runs or grocery trips through the discord server.

  32. I understand this, but I was also tattooed before I knew God, so if I’m already tattooed, I might as well tattoo myself to glorify Him.

  33. It should be very important to note people's flairs in this discussion. Opinions on tattoos in general vary a lot.

  34. Personal opinions are entirely irrelevant. Our Creator told us not to mark or tattoo our bodies.

  35. You would read an out-of-context telephone translation written with an explicit agenda and conclude that. I would consider the original context and the original language of the text and conclude that I shouldn't use ritual scarification as a form of worship.

  36. So the puddles that could form from the water getting in the house just don’t exist?

  37. If you don't know that puddles are a bad thing for the house, why does that matter? Kids will think "I just won't step in the puddle, and in the morning it's gone anyway". There's no reason to think puddles are bad for a kid.

  38. I've actually been looking at this camera? I have a Lumix GX85 and I've been looking for something that is more weather sealed. How well does this camera hold up in the rain and or dust. ?

  39. The body is weather sealed, but you also need to have a sealed lens, and those are only the most expensive of the e-mounts. With that said, I've taken that camera in light sprinkles without issue. I would recommend buying a nice bag along with your nice camera so that you don't need to worry about rain.

  40. It's pretty tricky to get it to work well, and you need a larger nozzle, but if you wish you could buy particle board in non-board form, it's pretty good. I printed a large boat for a D&D campaign with it.

  41. There are a couple of shoe manufacturers that started out in the hiking boot game and then added protection to their most popular shoes. I don't know if you can get more comfortable than a shoe designed solely around walking?

  42. The interesting part is that kids will keep rotating their slang to new stuff as they get older, and then suddenly the whole generation will just stop changing it. That's why your parents sound really old and lame, because their slang solidified.

  43. I'll add on to what others have said: that niche is filled by the taser already, specifically the non-lethal weapon niche. The reason that lethal force is even a consideration is because right now, nothing is more reliable than raw destruction. Lethal force is only used because the officer has a right to keep themselves from getting hurt, so it's not the time to take chances.

  44. Person who got there first, and if at the same time then the person who's on the right

  45. Person who got there first and simultaneously anybody that can turn without crossing their path.

  46. wait what does this mean. i think this might solve everything. what does I and B stand for

  47. Make a thumbs up. Open your non-thumb fingers a little. Now, if you twist your hand in the direction of your curled fingers (as in, the tips of your fingers are leading), then the direction that your thumb is pointing is the direction that things will usually go. Go grab a jar and try it, it's always the same direction. Screws go in and out accordingly, valves loosen the same way, etc. The labels on that image are for other physics-related things, that's just the first image I found that only displays the rotation part of the right hand rule.
