1. Oh, well, I'm very sorry to say this, but yes, technically. For instance, The Count of Monte Cristo is a terribly stupid book that was also written very badly in the most exhausting manner possible, and yet people adore it. Not stupid people, but perfectly reasonable people with normal lives and ideas. But, the book is horrendously bad and done in an excruciatingly silly style. If nothing else, that's one.

  2. Oh, I'm so sorry if my response is wrong but I just sort of feel like reading doesnt have to have a higher purpose. I mean, I'm not accusing you of anything here, but it seems like you have expectations that were never intrinsically part of the thing you are imposing your views on.

  3. I'm so sorry for asking this and I apologize for doing so, but why do you call it a Masteral Degree? Is that what it is called in your country?

  4. I'm very sorry to have to stoop to sharing my opinion - I realize that no one has asked for it - but, in my opinion, it really depends on whether or not they are choosing to write in the Classic Fiction genre or not. Of course, that's just me, so you don't have to agree!

  5. I'm very sorry for asking, but are you talking about that American man from a very long time ago?

  6. Oh, this is a delicate question! 'Sherbourne' is the closest to the French, harkening back to the Norman invasion and the time when French was language of the gentry. All other forms are likely variants of that, so it depends on whether you intend your character to desire to signal to others actual aristocratic roots or the more basic English desire to be part of the aristocracy when one is not. Its rather easy to hide a farmhand who gained some capital in your lineage if your name sounds like the aristocratic version. One must choose carefully, I suppose.

  7. Oh, how droll! This question feels as if it is designed to cause the male audience of reddit to make rather embarrassing statements about themselves and their romantic attachments, instead of the deceivingly asked question they believe themselves to have answered. Is the OP just a rank cad? I am laughing out loud right now!!

  8. Oh, this is such a fine question. But, I must ask: why would the library be the default option instead of buying? Unless I am unaware, I believe that the vast majority of people buy their books new which, in turn, allows for a burgeoning book industry in the world.

  9. Oh, that is rather dramatic! Well done, homeowner! Vini, vidi, vici!
