1. Personally, I don't feel height in the toe box makes much difference in fit. Honestly, I don't want to feel anything at the end of my toes or above my toes. A bit of heel slip is normal with newer boots for me, but usually resolves as the foot bed molds to the shape of my foot. 1/2 size down from Brannock is typical, although I like my Trumans at TTS.

  2. Yeah... I know what you mean. Every restaurant, bar and food truck owner is getting rich. I mean billionaire rich.

  3. They look great on you. We all know how it is with new raw denim. It takes many wears until they start to mold to our body shape. Give them hell. Mow the grass, work in your garage and take them on some hikes and they will soon be yours. Samurai are great jeans.

  4. This jacket looks amazing on you! I''m going to need to look into this brand now.

  5. Thanks. I've heard that this jacket tends to look great on everyone. This one is definitely a keeper for me.

  6. I witnessed a woman backing into a minivan at my local grocery. She at least stopped, extricated her SUV from the bumper of the hit car. She got out and looked over the damage with an expert eye, then quickly back into her car and left. I was too slow to get a pic, but wrote down the plate number and car/driver description, waited and gave it to the victim when he returned. Some people are just trash.

  7. These are my Iron Rangers. There are many others like it, but these 8085's are mine. My Red Wings are my best friend. They are my life.

  8. Those have a nice sheen. Mine are very flat looking. Did you treat them somehow?

  9. These 8085's are about 1.5 years old. They get brushed after every 2-3 wears and a damp cloth wipe down once a month. One treatment with the Red Wing Shoe Cream just prior to this picture. These have a Wyatt & Dad recraft with full leather mid-sole, new well and a Vibram Cord 1/2 sole.

  10. Awesome kit buddy, thanks for sharing! Fellow RC owners 🙌

  11. I was fortunate to score this one on Fedora Lounge. It won't be my last.... I hope!

  12. Nice. Weather where I am finally hit spring - Leather Jacket season is over for me. At least last week was fairly cool, got a bonus.

  13. Oh man, that is both tough and great for the weather. I'm in central Oregon where jacket weather extends well into summer. We all have to adapt to our surroundings.

  14. Is this a hold over from April Fool's Day, because only a fool would even consider this.

  15. Hmmmm, maybe a Thunderdome pair in my future....any chance these will be RTS or MTO only?

  16. The '06 would like likely be a better option for me. That was the last year of the first gen Tundra, and Toyota really had it dialed. The '08 truck that you reference may be fine, but will likely need more maintenance on drivetrain, suspension, brakes, electrical, etc. Just a fact that parts wear out the more we cycle them.

  17. Ah, that's disappointing. I hadn't realized the toe caps were bogus. As far as I am concerned, the extra thickness is the only benefit of a toe cap. I don't really like how it looks

  18. It is not common to use two pieces of leather on toe caps, sewing the two pieces together with only minimal overlap. Viberg does similar. The bootmaker makes a decision about how they want the end product to look. A full two layer toe cap will inevitably be more bulky and thus, more bulbous.

  19. 10 on Brannock and you bought 8.5? Uhh... just a wild guess here, but I'd say your boots are too small

  20. Do you size your Truman and Iron Rangers the same? They just put up pre orders for cognac teton stag, white tail deer leather that im wanting to purchase.

  21. A good question and should be simple. But, my answer may be a bit confusing. I measure at 8.5D Brannock and comfortably wear 8.5D Iron Rangers and Truman boots on the 79 last. However, I can also wear an 8D Red Wing and an 8D Truman. In reality, I think I am really at 8.25D. But, in terms of your specific question, I think the Truman 79 and Red Wing Iron Ranger fit similarly. A great fall back is that Truman has excellent customer service and will let you exchange your boots if they don't fit well.

  22. Looking good brother. Conditioning will not cause them any harm and will likely prolong the life of the boots. I think it is optional. My 8085's went 18 months before their first conditioning and looked a lot like yours. YMMV.

  23. Sorry friend, but it IS an expression of free speech. Free speech allows expressions of both idiocy and genius. To defend free speech is to even defend speech that we detest, including speech that is “purposefully belligerent and baiting.” I believe it’s actually more important to defend that kind of speech, b/c it’s easy to defend speech that we agree with, but if you stop there it’s just defending your point of view, not defending free speech. I do agree with your last three statements though. Lol.

  24. I thinks everyone agrees that first amendment rights are paramount. When that ass hat is on his own time, he should be able to express himself however he wants. But in that setting he is a paid/elected representative of the citizens of Gervais. That is 100% not the place for politicking for a national election.

  25. Anyone find this a bit... Odd?

  26. Knee replacement surgery is a big one. We can't know how much pain he was in, or if there may be some other medical issues that dictated the schedule. Health is everything. There will be many other races. Best to your health, Mr. Hendrick.

  27. The texture coat under the paint is but I’ve not seen that corner cap before. I’m not familiar with the 2017
