Man i can;t remember specifically what i'm talking about, but I remember being stuck in master mode and looking up the solution and thinking "who could ever figure this out"?
Afaik there weren’t any spots where you HAD to use scare crows but there are tons of rooms with hidden song of time blocks, switches stuck in walls you use the spin attack for, heck in jabu jabus belly there are cows stuck in the wall that act as switches to get the door open. It was fun but some of the puzzles were total bullshit
Master quest was a bonus mode originally on a gamecube edition of the game but it was included in the 3ds port of the title. It mirrors the overworld so everything is backwards (eg gerudo valley is in the eastern side of the map not the west) and the dungeons are redone. It’s a fun mode but admittedly the levels definitely feel like an official rom hack and can sometimes stray into total bullshit territory. I still had a good time though.
Definitely Jeremy Robert Johnson hit at the same time I also know some of his best writing is tied to his worst days. Still awesome writer and I always look forward to his stuff when it comes
I've only read his short story collection. Thanks for reminding me that I have to check out his other works. There's just something about his writing that keeps you hooked.
His short stories are absolutely phenomenal. I’m so sad that people can’t become famous for short stories anymore because his are amazing. He has quite a few longer works that are great as well, skullcrack city, siren promised, the loop
I can agree with this in the sense that there is zero reason a company with as many resources at its disposal as Disney shouldn’t have taken extra time to plan out a solid trilogy, like it’s just such a large scale showing of incompetence
Another user above you pointed out that there is still worthwhile stuff in the franchise, it’s just buried beneath bland mediocrity that refuses to expand things
I think part of the returns theme was skepticism of nostalgia. Yes it did have some fan service moments but it’s also very dark. People like to say it’s super different and that can be off putting but the seeds for everything that happens in the season were planted as far back as episode 1. The darkness has ALWAYS been there, it’s just more blatant now
His design is super cool and that’s really it. Lore wise he is just really good at surviving bad situations but we don’t know anything about him beyond that
Also strange is that he’s known to be a killing machine when in reality the mission is about using specific ammo at specific points to disable/ stagger enemies
Don’t know what a kitchen porter does but yeah my mental health increased dramatically when I got out of retail. The fixed hours and days off ALONE are just infinitely better
Big horror fan here, I think ghosts “exist” in the sense that people that are unwilling to let go of something from the past continue to make sure they exist
I read an anthology once titled in heaven everything is fine: short fiction inspired by David lynch and remember thinking it was quite good. Like any anthology there were hits and misses but there were thankfully more hits
I really loved Haunt, and now watch it every Halloween. I find Hell Fest to be an inferior version with an inferior killer and much more annoying supporting characters.
I had the good fortune to snag a screener when it came out and my first thought was “this will become a Halloween staple for many people” (myself included, love the atmosphere and sets)
Yeah his main strengths are in the gruesome stuff. He tends to blend a bunch of things together and sometimes it works sometimes it doesn’t. Little heaven is, to me, easily his best work, at least from what I’ve read
I think it's mostly considered a slur in the US. In other countries it's literally what you would call a friend if he is behaving a bit like a jackass.
Yeah the thing that people lose sight of is people that get away with doing shitty stuff are being enabled by a whole ecosystem of others that let them get away with it
It sounds like they're trying to change it so now only people who have students currently enrolled in the school can make unlimited complaints instead of just everyone.
Og salazar no contest

What's a master quest run? I think I did something like this?

He doesn’t save the animals though
The animals? Why would I save the animals? What have they done for me lately? laughs maniacally
Even though lies of p isn’t a fromsoft game this is still fucking funny

Being good at chess indicates talent in spatial and sequential reasoning, which is a part of overall intelligence.
Way to prove my point lmao
I’m not sure why you’re laughing, I just told you that you were wrong that spatial and sequential reasoning is a significant part of intelligence.
Spatial awareness and sequential reasoning are GIGANTIC parts of so many video games in addition to hand eye coordination.
at best those are dorky. nerdy implies brainy
Jesus now we’re arguing about the difference between nerdy and dorky I fucking can’t with Reddit sometimes
? they are two completely different things
🙄
Star Wars: Episode 9: The Rise of Skywalker
I can agree with this in the sense that there is zero reason a company with as many resources at its disposal as Disney shouldn’t have taken extra time to plan out a solid trilogy, like it’s just such a large scale showing of incompetence
They had no motivation to do so. They knew that they could shit out a Star Wars turd and it would make bazillions of dollars regardless.
Yeah I know, doesn’t mean it’s not pathetic
Thank you! You put into words what I’ve thought for a while re: Star Wars
Another user above you pointed out that there is still worthwhile stuff in the franchise, it’s just buried beneath bland mediocrity that refuses to expand things
Return definitely had that in mind and challenged the validity of nostalgia and the constrictive nature of world-building.
I think part of the returns theme was skepticism of nostalgia. Yes it did have some fan service moments but it’s also very dark. Buster is magnificent regardless of fur color
Too new to the series to really understand the hype around him and where he's been in all the games, but he looks cool so I wouldn't mind playing him.
His design is super cool and that’s really it. Lore wise he is just really good at surviving bad situations but we don’t know anything about him beyond that
Hunk is like the Boba Fett of the RE universe, but somehow even more undeserving of the hype he gets.
Also strange is that he’s known to be a killing machine when in reality the mission is about using specific ammo at specific points to disable/ stagger enemies

Money. People who say it doesn’t are liars.
Money may not buy happiness but man I would be happier without all these goddamn bills
Next time, give a fake name or use your middle name (so it’s not technically a lie). Guys like him are just looking to make trouble for someone.
Hi sir, my name is Ivana Spankoff

Same, Haunt has been a seasonal staple since it came out. I went in completely blind and it was the best surprise how good it was
I had the good fortune to snag a screener when it came out and my first thought was “this will become a Halloween staple for many people” (myself included, love the atmosphere and sets)
How about a Stephanie Meyer and The Bible 4: The Accuser (Satan's Side Of Creation)
That sounds like it’ll open the doorway nicely for the Bible 5: the next generation where it turns out the real Bible was Peter all along
God will give you comfort and counsel should you seek him.

I just finished his book The Troop it was really enjoyable! He has some great imagery
Yeah that’s what I’ve heard/ seen so idk
It depends really
People should definitely be able to do what they want.
Yeah the thing that people lose sight of is people that get away with doing shitty stuff are being enabled by a whole ecosystem of others that let them get away with it
Who won't do shit if the boss makes the company enough money
I believe you mean, “the boss manipulated situations and people to make it look like he’s responsible for making the company money”
You can find out by playing cadence of hyrule! She uses a rapier and nayrus love to reflect projectiles

I’m gonna laugh when some brilliant kid starts a campaign to get smut in the school library and receives overwhelming support from their peers
DeSantis is an actual idiot. I’m actually somewhat concerned about him and his ability to take care of himself.
No to worry, he leads an entire circus of clowns that support him for some reason
