  1. I'm thrilled that you shared this. I had vague memories of this from a computer we had growing up, but could never remember the source. Thank you.

  2. Shoulda used Bond's outfit from the GoldenEye pre-credits, really.

  3. There's a few ways to approach this and a few things to consider - none are the perfect option (as there's no such thing):

  4. Thanks for the thoughts to mull over, it definitely helped! I think I'll start over. Honestly, I've had issues with this plot since before I started writing it, but I just focused on getting it down regardless. It never felt engaging to work on and the plot was really lukewarm. But the changes I had ideas for actually fix a lot of the issues I had with it, though they also massively change the story but in a way that makes more sense. After thinking about it, I realized that continuing from where I left off before I stopped writing would kind of be a waste of time because if I wanted to go with these changes then it'll affect big aspects of how the plot unfolds.

  5. Sounds like you've figured it out. Good luck with the new version!

  6. Hi all. It seems this small bird has fallen from a nest in our roof. We can't access the nest given the height of the roof. We currently have the bird in a cardboard box and are keeping it warm. I believe it is a songbird of some kind, but am not absolutely sure. I tried to call the Toronto Wildlife Centre, but they are not accepting songbird fledglings.

  7. I was unfortunately and hilariously reminded of

  8. Given the look of his outfit (minimal, I know) I wonder if he pretends to be a Jedi for some reason/con job, and it gets both Kenobi and the Inquisitors on his tail and Kenobi is forced to save him.

  9. Not too bad of a guess, huh? I didn't get all the details, but some.

  10. The guy holding his hand up is a producer right? And the poor girl who suggested it is the scripty or someone similar who asked because she was pressured by that old fuck?

  11. Ah... someone else who works in film. Seen these situations unfold way too many times, myself.

  12. I actually worked at the one in Cole Harbour/Cumberland Drive. It was my first job and I started working there when I turned 16. It was a fun job.

  13. Made this short film a few years before the pandemic, but now, oddly enough, it feels like a product of it. Hopefully some of you find it to be a cathartic experience and enjoy the subtleties of the narrative. It's a bit of a ghost story, but not in the traditional sense.

  14. I once recreated this ad for a gaming event at a school I used to teach at.

  15. I have almost 250 rides and have never received one or even knew it was a thing! Does anyone know if they do this in Canada?

  16. Yes they do it in Canada. I never got an email so I contacted Peloton and they sent it to me that way

  17. Thanks so much! I just reached out and was able to put an order through. Exciting. I would have had no idea!

  18. Thanks to everyone who joined today. It was a lot of fun!

  19. A shame, for sure, but it was still fun and worthwhile. Thanks for joining!

  20. My Bike+ arrived yesterday and I took my first ride on it this morning after using a generic bike for over a year. My mind is blown. Not only is it fun - especially with all the graphics and info to be engaged with, but the bike functions beautifully. I was already excited to get it, but I had no idea I would enjoy it this much.

  21. Isn’t it fantastic?? I wasn’t even that into spinning before and I am completely obsessed! Enjoy!!

  22. It truly is. And neither was I. Never did any spinning before, but I love how the screen and all you can see almost feels like a video game.

  23. After using the app on a standard spin bike and doing lots of strength workouts for just over a year, I've finally made the leap to get a Bike+. REALLY excited to try it out, and I can't wait to get to ride with some of you!

  24. Just made the leap myself today! Excited for it to come in and get rolling. Congrats!

  25. Nice! Congrats to you too. Exciting times for sure!

  26. I haven’t really thought about it yet, this is part of an ongoing series based on scenes from Kafka on the Shore so if there is enough interest, I’ll look into it when I have more drawings done :)

  27. Yeah, I'd love that. I think this piece is stunning.

  28. or ask for one, i don't know. I'm not Phil.

  29. I want to at least make my first feature film and write a novel. I want to spend my life telling stories - hopefully they’re good.

  30. Damn I thought this was a page from the comic. Nicely done!

  31. This album is so massively underrated and I believe it to be one of McCartney’s best.

  32. This is amazing! Wish I had friends like you when I was growing up.

  33. Just read the blurb for your book - it sounds awesome. A little bit of Murakami influence, perhaps? I’d love to read this, and I dig the cover. Congratulations.

  34. Thanks! And yes on the Murakami influence! After I moved to japan in 2009 I couldn’t get enough of his books and have read almost everything he has written. He was one of my major inspirations to become a writer later in life.

  35. That makes two of us - big fan and inspired by his work. I’m working on a screenplay in a completely different realm currently, but plan to tackle a novel with his influence. I’ll be sure to order your book.

  36. I’ve had this bag since I was 10/11 and still keep my Xbox in it. A lot of good memories packing this thing every time I took the console to a friend’s house.

  37. Give it some attention, friend. It wants you to play it.

  38. Oh don’t worry! I just started setting up my retro gaming station during the pandemic. I dove into some Bond games and Halo.
