1. Police claim they had to shoot him when the guy they hassled for being present outside his family's property ran from them, jumped in a van and tried to run them over.

  2. Yeah, there must be a lot more to the story. This NBC article would seem to contradict the police account that they identified themselves and issued commands. That seems pretty believable that the police are being quiet, and then someone cleaning out their grandmother's house might freak out when confronted by strangers, especially considering it happened at 1 in the morning.

  3. But who cleans out a house at 1:00 a.m. in the morning?

  4. I've been in that situation before. Moving and cleaning always takes longer than you think, especially if you can't start on it until you get off work and so on.

  5. I forget who said it, but I remember seeing one of the analysts on either CNN or MSNBC several years back proclaim that Trump stripmined the integrity and credibility of anyone who came into his orbit. Q.E.D.

  6. Same. Great article, but unlikely to be viewed by those whose beliefs are most likely in need of some confrontation with the facts, sadly.

  7. Lol .. is Trump ever acts NOT like a 4 YO?

  8. Mr. Trump memorably told Mr. D’Antonio that “when I look at myself in the first grade and I look at myself now, I’m basically the same.”

  9. How exactly would the sea spider lose its anus?

  11. "a male or female performer who adopts a flamboyant or parodic feminine persona with glamorous or exaggerated costumes and makeup."

  12. He has claimed to have been born in Queens NY, but his coworkers at Dish Network (a call center job he actually held for 8 months, but left off of his resume) have come forward and said

  13. Well, Senator Graham, you had two chances to try to get the country out of this shit show, and you failed.

  14. That's nothing compared to Trump's, his administration alone is responsible for nearly 1/4 of our $32T national debt:

  15. Trump was a shitty President, but most of that was going to happen regardless of who was in the White House.

  16. I dot get it? a fraud was more than likely sponsored and installed by who knows and were laughing?

  17. Just because someone laughs at the jokes made about him doesn't mean they don't want him removed.

  18. As much as I loathe the dude, there's nothing he can really do (aside from rearranging-deck-chairs-on-the-titanic stuff) about this problem.

  19. Since he's not ever going to do those things, and we're discussing the real world, it's sort of moot, no?

  21. You're banking on the country being stable enough that all the money you've invested in them is gonna come back, plus more. That's insane. They weren't all that stable before. Look at how Germany got stuck in a position where they had to pay all sorts of money (yes it was their fault, but still) after WW1. Things went bad soon after. Why do we think Ukraine, having just fought for their independence, is gonna be cool being our lackey and paying us all this money back? Zelensky barely manages a "thank you" now before he starts with the whole "but we need more money."

  22. The money is going towards American defense contractors, the article was pretty clear about that:

  23. I have a family member who is a corrections officer. He told me about a guy who got fired for selling weed to prisoners. In my relatives words "He made $32,000 a year! That's good money! And he threw it all away!" I thought to myself "Jesus, 32k a year? No wonder he was selling weed on the side."

  25. This "tour" is even batshittier than I imagined, if their website is any indication. Sorry, morbid curiosity as to how much a ticket cost got the better of me:

  26. We’ve been breaking border records for like 4 years now.

  27. Behind every wedge issue, there's a host of hidden agendas. The Berrigan brothers were against abortion, as a matter of faith. Their agenda was making a world filled with enough loving support that that every conception would be a blessing. Lots of luck selling that to the "pro-life" crowd.

  28. I don't think anyone is really for abortion in the way the "pro-life" crowd wants to portray it. I'm for sex education, making contraception available, but also for keeping abortion safe and legal, and I know plenty of other people who feel the same way. One would hope since the "pro-life" people have defeated abortion, they would work on child hunger, or healthcare and so on, but I doubt that is going to happen.

  29. As far as I can tell, it’s because this federal court can’t punish DeSantis for breaking a state law. Something to do with the 11th amendment.

  30. It would be a way to get the issue before the current Supreme Court and give them a chance to overturn Obergefell.

  31. You mean people who don’t work and are getting free food from the government can’t get those items for free. They can still buy them. Do you know anyone that broke??

  32. Actually, I do. If you are ever in WV, feel free to start out at Beckley, and follow the roads south east until you hit Ben Hur, VA. You'll see more than a few of them.
