Avoid the kid, it's a confederate battle flag, if you wish to piss them off, call them a traitor, they get really mad and will start yapping about bullshit states rights, it's really funny
Oh itâs an old couple with a history of flying far-right flags, back in the day they managed to get away with flying a Confederate battle flag (like the normal one) in front of the school until we managed to get them to stop
thatâs my problem with the SAT. i feel like it tests test-taking ability over actually knowing the material. i think AP tests are better because i feel like they actually test peopleâs knowledge of a difficult subject, and there is room to make mistakes
I mean the SAT is used to measure how prepared youâll be for college, and when grades are much more test-heavy, Iâd guess youâd want a metric of how good someone is at test-taking
Oh by conversation I canât avoid I mean like gossip or smth that Iâd want to spend like 3 hours talking about for even when I very much do not have 3 hours lying around, so I just leave it for later
From my own experience, Bangladeshis in Bangladesh are a lot more normal/ modern/ less old fashioned than Bangladeshis in diaspora. Itâs because diaspora communities tend to be frozen in time to when their oldest members migrated and for some reason maintain the belief that nothing changed in the âold countryâ (basically the sixties for the diaspora in the UK). Unlike the âBangladeshi cultureâ in the diaspora however real Bangladeshis have continued to evolve and change and the country of Bangladesh has progressed.
Sometimes this has led to more liberal communities, like mine (Virginia, US) - a lot of the diaspora grew up in the 70s/80s right after the war and came to the U.S. in the 2000s or later, so lâd assume thatâs part of why itâs so much less conservative than say, Canada or the UK
weâre on our third right now (first The Crucible, then Killers of the Flower Moon, then The Great Gatsby), weâll be doing Bartleby next so in all 4
bro I AM in public high school as a bisexual, I am friends with the type of people you talk about, and even then most of my friends who are girls are straight
Unless the one claiming to be bi actually regularly gets with people of their own gender, it's a very good chance they are just doing it to feel special.
There is definitely colorism, but thereâs not really a colorist divide between North and South Indians, and itâs not as extreme as from what Iâve heard in other places
If youâre doing it out of pleasure of challenge, 10000% worth it. But if just for college apps and youâre not slightly interested in any content, do what is best for your major and to stand out (+ what you please). It can be very rewarding + as a high school student, AP courses will probably be more rewarding (personally and academically) than regular/honors classes (not undermining the difficulty, but based off my personal experience)
Itâs a system thatâs destined to screw over workers - I donât necessarily agree with the Marxist view that itâll all come tumbling down eventually (although I hope it ends), but itâs a system that encourages profit-seeking businessmen, largely at the expense of their workers and the environment
How would this mean bad news for POCs???? POCs are the least likely to have preference for legacy admissions so now it puts them on a level, fair playing field
Because it was not until the last 30 years that POCs actually had the critical mass to be able to take advantage of the system; you know the one that White people of means have had for about 250 years!
As one of the POC you speak of, an upper-middle-class one at that, legacy admissions actively hurt us because we may have money but we arenât well-established in PWIs like many White Americans â thatâs part of the reason why we (Asians) are so competitive, because we donât have any extra benefits when it comes to admission and have to do a lot to stand out in spite of that
Estudio español en la escuela y aprendimos que las formas de âhayaâ y âhubieraâ son subjuntivos (presente y imperfecto), pero harĂa es indicativo
"communists who believe in the idea of a transitionary state" are socialists which is why I am correcting the common misconception that I have seen often on this site.
Itâs not a âcommon misconceptionâ, communists that believe in a transitionary state are both communists and socialists, theyâre not one or the other
youâre just judgy, just because you find something cringe doesnât mean it isnât fun - it might not be your cup of tea but thereâs no reason to say âfuck gen zâ because you met furries at an anime club
My APUSH one is genuinely so funny (Give Me Liberty - Eric Foner) because the author is openly a socialist/communist and uh
they will get their due karma just keep your head down and focus on yourself
Someone has to be the due karma lol
fr?
The average number of APs people on Reddit take in general is a lot higher, most people take very few if any
One of my cloĆ has p & ph but no f, just for the sake of this meme but made on "or draw 25" template.
Well in a lot of Bengali dialects and some other Indo-Aryan languages ph -> f so itâs inevitable
Is your school from 1783
No but this guy specifically is

Can confirm, this playlist really helped me understand integration since I was struggling with it conceptually

It's trendy as fuck!!! You obviously don't have any daughters in public high school.

20 cuts into time better used to sleep and just maintaining your health though, and college-wise way better used for good extracurriculars
multivar, e&m, and apush all together will take you out
if these classes are all for one semester and not a full year i warn you that APUSH is a huge load
so that's how you guys feel when you see Cyrillic for the first time?

iâm in APUSH rn and my fav so far was reconstruction
This matters because kids under 5 years old use Reddit
I am 100 percent in agreement. Also, for anyone who supported AA for POCs, this will actually negative impact POCs more than any other group.

True communism is basically anarcho-communism
