Both of them would be born into wealthy and rich families, the Zenin Clan and the Kravionoff family. Within these families the two of them would face physical abuse, Toji being abused physically by many members of his family and Sergei being beaten by his father.
My headcanon for this version of Denji is that he's living his best life, since Gojo killed Makima before she could get to the whole 'rip Denji's happy life away from him' part of her plan.
