When dogs bark or kids start bugging me or whatever it is, food, I just turn them on noise cancelling mode and voila.

Pairing them and similar species I do in a large chameleon enclosure with multiple access points. Lets the males escape and run free as I leave the females enclosure wide open.
Their behavior can MASSIVELY change into adulthood, as with a lot of tarantulas. They chill out a lot. None of mine are skittish except the mature males, but yea, very few species actually want to hurt you. Featherlegs scare me, about the only species that gives me pause.
