Too many Braves went early in my fantasy draft and I couldn't get them. Acuna, Albies, Olson, and Riley were all gone by my second round pick. I snagged Fried later but I wanted more. It was getting later in the draft and I saw one Marcel Ozuna still available. I knew he had a great second half of the season last year and was doing well in spring. I was happy to have another Braves player on the team so I took him.

I'll still never understand why the Western and Eastern conferences have different levels of competitiveness for all my years as a fan of the NBA (going back to the nineties). Don't superstars want to live in Miami or NY? DC's a cool city, too...

Y'all need to calm the fuck down about the pitching. It's still early in the season. The staff is going to be fine and isn't as horrible as y'all are making it seem by any stretch. Keep saying this until I'm blue in the face, but Morton has ALWAYS struggled early in the season. That's par for the course with him. Fried will be fine. Sale and Lopez are solid. The pen looks dominant but roles are still getting sorted out.

It's almost like most of these people haven't watched the Braves for the last 3 years or so. Morton had a good April last year and crappy May and then was solid from then on. And in 2022, he had a bad April and May and was solid after that. Had some bad games but was definitely a solid #3. He's doing the same this year.

Wait what? Like August and September? Am I missing something because September looks fine right now. COL, TOR, WSH, LAD, CIN, MIA, NYM, KC. And August the hardest teams are probably Philly, Minnesota, and Milwaukee.

I know it’s not exciting but Buffalo just shed a ton of vets this year to get out of a bunch of expensive contracts, so they absolutely cannot afford to trade up and lose the opportunity to pay as many of their players as cheaply as possible. If anything, I would expect a trade back for two 2nds out of the first to round out the roster.

Trading out of the first round doesn't make sense if you're looking for a wide receiver early. A first round player gives you a 5th year option while the later rounds do not.

Yeah, don’t anchor on what I said about trading back. I just meant that I would find it more likely for us to do that than up based off of all of the contract shedding. Otherwise we’d have to fill holes in free agency, digging us into further cap hell.

I don't really see us giving up next year's first unless we somehow found a way to trade way up for Nabers or Odunze.
