My personal experience is a lot of parents confuse gentle parenting with permissive parenting. Their kids are assholes. My oldest is 8 and I see it all the time at the play ground and beyond. I see how some of my friends parent and their kids run them. There’s no consequences for their behavior at all. If you dare say something about it, you’re the problem not them or their kids. It’s maddening.
Are we supposed to? No idea. Do I do it? Absolutely. I don’t touch other peoples kids but I do verbally reprimand them. Listen to your dad, don’t speak to your mother that way, I will take that if you continue to do x/y/z. Things like that.

Try to learn as much as you can about your institutions products and procedures and apply for back office positions. I work for a large regional bank now, in our credit card department. No sales goals, no in person transactions. I do have to help with customer service calls and emails but it’s so much better. We work regular hours 8-5 and no weekends.
The nastier people get to me the more customer service-y I get. I use what I call my Mary poppins voice. They HATE it. I work in banking so I take lots of calls from angry boomers and they lose their minds over the fact they don’t get a reaction from me.
My grandpa was very similar. Vietnam vet. High school drop out. Very outdoorsy guy. He taught me how to torrent music and burn cd’s. He & my grandma had internet before my parents did in 1996.

(Btw through the night is considered 5-6 hours straight.) then once we weaned at 18 months she slept through the night. My second started sleeping long stretches at like 6 weeks! And through the night probably around 5-6 months.
Our first was a surprise at 23. Our second was born 10 days before my 31st birthday and 5 days before my husbands 32. I had my tubes removed entirely at the same time I had my csection. People think we’re crazy for waiting so long but there’s no way we could’ve afforded it otherwise.
Bill pay is 3rd party provider that sends a physical check in the mail. It took 11 business days for it to be received. That’s not unusual. Next time pay earlier, or use a more efficient payment method.
When he wakes at night dad needs to go in first with water cup. It’s going to be a hard transition but that’s what I did with my first. My second sleeps through the night so he just gets boobs before bed and that’s it.
