1. Everyone's hung up on the toilet stove, but why is the desk bulletproof?

  2. I mean... YouTube premium does add features, especially on mobile

  3. Aside from blocking ads I'm guessing nothing that third party YouTube clients don't already have for free.

  4. Blocking ads, Free movies, free shows, free games, videos can play in the background of other apps, YouTube Music with HD audio. Picture in Picture viewing, which is nice.

  5. Third party apps do all that except for games and tv shows and stuff but I don't use YouTube for that anyway.

  6. That's 6.5kg of KFC chicken strips. Or 4.7kg of fries. Or 20 Arby's small milkshakes. Or 40 Starbucks brownies.

  7. Yeah, they have two Factor authentification for the most unimportant things. Like who would bother hacking my account for this random website...

  8. It's because most people reuse the same credentials everywhere so if one weak link goes down they now might have access to the important stuff too.

  9. that doesn't make sense, even know let's say you have account at x website and use the same password as your email, it will still tell you you got the password right, even with 2 factor authentification...

  10. 2 factor wasn't always a thing and many sites still don't even use it, or at least don't force it.

  11. No wonder catalina betrayed him, buttclaude would just be pestering her when they gonna score

  12. Unless they reject it given it's a minority government, but that would require the NDP to side with them, which will never happen as they are just a puppet.

  13. We should start a crowdfunding platform to buy politicians on behalf of the people. We could call it Go-Bribe-Me

  14. I have nothing to base this on, other than a personal theory, so maybe someone has evidence to prove me wrong. I don’t think they have intentionally tried to not hire judges, but instead they want to hire judges that are from diverse backgrounds (eg. Women, BIPOC, LGBT, indigenous etc.) to make up for under representation which has derailed the entire process. The reality is that the pool isn’t large enough to pull just from those groups and as a result we have a serious shortage of judges. A reasonable policy objective with completely unreasonable results.

  15. Fuck all that bullshit. Fuck it all with a cactus fuck it all to hell fuck "representation" fuck fuck fuck it all. We are letting seriously bad harmful people walk around to do whatever they please in the name of identity politics.

  16. Peoples memory is not that short just look at the demise of the liberal party in BC

  17. Is anyone even outsourcing to India anymore? I thought that it was largely given up on as people found that the cost-savings by going with cheap Indian labour was offset by things like dealing with the time difference and dealing with subpar work (i.e. you get what you pay for).

  18. As I understand it any Indian who can develop worth a dam goes to work for foreign companies or at least actual Indian tech companies, not outsourcing houses. The only ones who work in the outsourcing houses are the bottom of the barrel.

  19. But Tim Hortons is going to start selling pizza, so things are about to turn around!

  20. Wait til you find out about halal sex work

  21. Those hubcaps(?) are weird for sure. It makes me wonder if anyone has ever made anti-spinners that minimize the appearance of the wheel rotation

  22. Rolls Royce does that on their cars. The rims appear stationary while the car is moving. Well, just the inside part with their logo anyway.

  23. They aren't doing it out of the goodness of their heart lol, YouTube makes tens of billions of dollars a year from advertising alone, then there are all the network effects that come from being the largest video hosting service in history. Google became one of the richest companies on earth by harvesting inordinate amounts of user data, as the consumer you owe them nothing.

  24. Cue the brain dead responses of "but if you're not seeing ads they're not actually making any money from that data".

  25. YouTube is becoming more like cable where half the damn "content" is just ads.

  26. These kinds of deals should be criminal, but every city seems to be doing it.

  27. Shit if you want a really good example Ontario built highway 407 with public money and then last minute sold it to a foreign conglomerate for pennies on the dollar on a 99 year lease. They made the money back within a few years and the "value" of the highway is over 10x what they paid for it. It's the most expensive toll road in the world and sits virtually empty while all surrounding roads absolutely come to a halt every single rush hour.

  28. “Slavery couldn’t kill the black family…” is wild considering your wife could be sold after the masters done w/ her :/ - & breeding programs do not count as marriage.

  29. your usage of “muh” lets me know everything that i needed. hopefully your yakubian shaped skull forces your brain to grow that extra wrinkle.

  30. Kinda true. A basic car ain’t nearly that expensive, but accurate for the most part

  31. Given how most Americans insist they need a ford f150 as a grocery getter it kinda is?

  32. That’s a very subjective experience. I would agree the real world isn’t as cruel and judgmental as online Redditors, but as I typed this I can help but snicker that there are literal wars going on with people actually dying.

  33. How do you know that? How do you know they didn’t already tried this and were met with how cruel and judgmental people are?

  34. Because the real world isn't as cruel and judgemental as terminally online Redditors make it out to be.

  35. No. Nothing wrong with that. We need public services.

  36. I live at my grandma's house, and have a newer car that I probably pay more for than I should...but at the same time it's only a Corolla....and I own the damn thing!

  37. It's always a great feeling knowing you are the primary breadwinner in your landlords family.

  38. Pardon my ignorance but why isn’t anybody running away? Are they harmless?

  39. Quebec has that too on some highways. The minimum speed is still suicidally low like 60 kmh on a three lane highway.
