As you said, the idea of a being presented multiple synopses and then as you select one a brand new movie or show nobody has ever seen before is created for you right then and there...it's not going to be science fiction.

Yep, I believe you are spot on. Consolidation of industries will be huge. I think in the distant future, the largest corps will own entire supply chains, from the resources themselves to the logistical assets, the automated manufacturing, the targeted advertising, and the delivery of the final product - all managed by a single intelligence.
