1. Iā€™m betting itā€™s because youā€™re a SAHM, instead of having an ā€œoffice careerā€. Some people look down on SAH parents, because they have no concept of the drive and skills and brains and effort and energy it takes to stay at home, keep house and raise children. The older I get them more in awe of all my mother did for all of our lives, with very little thanks or recognition. And it turns out that she knew a whole lot more than me when I was a teenager!

  2. Sounds like a doppelgƤnger, but I donā€™t know much about them. Whatever it was did want you to follow, and I have a feeling it mightā€™ve been evil.

  3. There was a comic strip called ā€œBloom Countyā€, by artist Berkeley Breathed, that featured a character called ā€œBill the Catā€, who sat just like this. Jack has that position down!

  4. Also babies need to get use to noise around them or parents would have real trouble. Your can't tiptoe around them or nothing would get done. NTA ( I'm speaking as a parent)

  5. And if that baby started bawling - which is normal - while OP was sleeping on the beach - which is also normal - should he yell at and shame the parents?

  6. Yes that possible I guess. She was very serious telling me this stuff, and she truly believed what she was telling, of that I'm certain.

  7. I love your user name! I should change my Reddit automated name to ā€œNeverOpenASealedRoomā€. Whenever I see true ghost stories on tv where they opened up a sealed up door, or something of that nature, I always shout ā€œdonā€™t do it!ā€ when theyā€™re unsealing it, because thereā€™s always a witch or demon behind it.

  8. As I'm getting downvoted into oblivion šŸ¤£...I'm not trying to prove anything, just wanted to share, I knew it would divide opinion.

  9. i just upvoted all of your downvotes because I think the downvotes were very unnecessary šŸ¤™šŸ»

  10. Amy's Crypt, Paranormal Files, Paranormal Quest are the three I tend to watch for traditional ghost hunting.

  11. I cannot see Zak Bagansā€™ face without blurting the word ā€œassā€.

  12. Having an object fly off a shelf by itself.

  13. I just got my Truvaga last week. It has made me feel very mellow for the most part, but once I didnā€™t put on enough gel, and it nearly caused a panic attack! Iā€™m confused as to how itā€™s supposed to feel when youā€™re using it; whether I have it in the proper spot or not. One spot that reacts feels prickly going up and down, the other spot that reacts feels like a warm tugging sensation - like you feel from a tens device.

  14. I remember with the missing 411 stuff, chuck (palides?) had specifically mentioned that spot, I think thatā€™s where one of the actual case stores that they interviewed the witnesses, was specifically Mt Shasta actually!

  15. Yes! Iā€™ve seen Missing 411 and several shows about the Superstions! It is crazy, and I absolutely believe in these phenomena. Have you seen any of Skinwalker Ranch? Itā€™s fascinating how theyā€™re applying hard science to see what they can find there. The witnessesā€™ stories are insane, too. Iā€˜ve been to Sedona a couple of times and heard stories about vortexes as well as cryptid and UFO sightings. It did have an otherworldly feeling there - but Iā€™m sure that you must know about that living in AZ. All I know is I do not want to go to any of those other places!

  16. I have only seen the skinwalker ranch episode of portals to hell, one of my fave para shows. A lot of series crap haoiebs up here, and u see weird stuff in the sky.We actually had a possible skinwalker experience once or twice up in the high desert of congress, that was different then all my other para experiences, it was the only time I knew I was in danger. Hereā€™s what happened: I have a kind of interesting story if I want to read, Iā€™ll try not to make you read this king thing I do always, but I like to be detailed and explain exactly what happened so that you feel the mood. I ghost hunt, so it sounds like why does she have all these crazy stories? But I seek it out, so I get exposed way more.., So it was like 9pm, dark out, and my bfwas under my Miata dicing a tire or something with it jacked up. Heā€™d been out there a while and-

  17. WOW. That is the craziest story Iā€™ve ever heard! Was it on a reservation or just former native land (which is pretty much the rest of the US, too)? I know Iā€™d heard of your town before somewhere. The show The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch is on The History Channel, so you might find it on On Demand, if you have that where you live. My favorite ghost hunting show was Paranormal Lockdown with Nick and Katrina. I donā€™t like the way Jack Osborne demands that spirits do things for him, and heā€™s ungrateful to them when they do interact. Katrina rocks! Sheā€™s infinitely more brave than any other ghost hunter Iā€™ve ever seen.

  18. I had a grade 1 teacher exactly like this. It was obvious she absolutely hated children. I have no idea why she got into teaching, but I seriously suspect it was so she'd have an endless supply six year olds she could torment and beat if she was having a bad day.

  19. My 1st grade teacher would take me out into the hall for reasons unknown, at age 5, and slap me hard across the face, and make me sit out there until she felt like letting me back in. She threatened me with bad things that would happen if I ever told anyone.

  20. Part of the reason why I stopped going to family holidays years ago. The first thing out of everyone's mouth was either, "Oh, wow you've gained weight," or "Oh, you've lost weight." Years of that eats away at a person, no pun intended.

  21. I had a great aunt who molested me as a toddler. She used to make comments like that about my body my whole life. Finally, when I was in my 30ā€™s I told her, in front of everyone, that my body was none of her business and her comments on my weight were absolutely inappropriate. It felt really good to say that. I didnā€™t tell anyone about the sexual abuse until I was 40 yo.

  22. This! Have you ever tried to put on a golf glove after it has been wet and air dried? It's very difficult, but not impossible. The prosecutors either didn't know this or were completely incompetent. Cochran knew his juror audience, that's for sure.

  23. It was a massive screwup by the prosecution, though. Ultimately assistant prosecutor Christopher Darden was the one who decided to have Simpson try on the gloves (though the defense baited him into it and clearly wanted it), hoping for a dramatic flashy moment.

  24. The reason I thought that was a stupid fool-ass thing to do was if theyā€™d been bloody from the murders, the leather would have shrunk and shriveled a bit. Moisture would do that to thin leather.

  25. Or heā€™s doing that thing where you treat someone bad so they break up with you so you donā€™t have to do the deed. Definitely has contempt towards you. Hard to come back from those feelings.

  26. This should be at the top. Itā€™s exactly what heā€™s doing - Iā€™ve had it done to me before, so I know of which I speak!

  27. Iā€™ve been experiencing these since 2018, it does still startle me a bit, but I donā€™t freak out anymore, I guess Iā€™m pretty used to it

  28. I have heard that a death of someone close to you could possibly open up a door of sorts to another dimension. I have no source, Iā€™ve just heard about a lot from talented psychic mediums on tv (ex. Amy Allen and Ian Lawman).

  29. There is a show on the Travel Channel you can watch on discovery+ or On Demand, called Haunted Hospitals, which has many, many stories about shadow people being seen by patients and healthcare workers, particularly post op. You may want to take a look at that, though it make further scare the bejeesus out of you!

  30. Would you have a link for a compilation of those stories? Iā€™ll bet itā€™d make for a fascinating read!

  31. My husband just came back from England with a tin of Fortnum & Mason lemon curd tea biscuits, and Iā€™ve fallen in love with them. I wanted to by some, but the US price is insane and I kept reading the same thing: they come smashed to bits. I googled and I just found this recipe:

  32. I'd also recommend using sage. I have no experience with it but hey! What the hell. Why not try it, right?

  33. Donā€™t! Because sage can backfire and anger entities if you donā€™t know what youā€™re doing!

  34. I'd yell to my wife to hide (code word for barricade herself into a room and call for help).

  35. Iā€™m hesitant to ask - what happened that you had that situation with your daughter?

  36. It sounded like a helpful, organized ghost. I wouldā€™ve kept it around, I could use more order in my life.

  37. This is a horrendous thing to say. Really, you should have kept it to yourself.
