I'm on a Taxi immediately after this this cutscene and I see this post? This is the second time today I've seen a Reddit post about a section of the BH story I just did.
It's inspired by some real swords that did have a finger-ring like that. The elves are (re)entering the age of more advanced swords. And especially more advanced than the human weapons in this setting. The elves often have more complex guards and thinner blades, while the humans have very simple guards and thick blades if they even have swords at all. I also have a few fully
Proper rapiers, or at least French ones, are meant to be held with your index finger separate from the rest of the handle. Normally they also have a basket guard too but they do have a separate space for the index finger.
"Would all pupils that catch the No.5 bus please stay after assembly." ...someone threw a glass oasis bottle from the bus and it hit a kid from a rival school and they wanted intel. Lol.
Almost the exact same thing happened on our No. 5 bus. People chucked bottles out the window and the school was worried in case it hit someone. Can't remember if an assembly was ever held about that though, let alone all the other shenanigans that bus got up to.
America and Britain alone can keep them going until the heat death of the universe. Japan's still fine for now in most areas (but low on cruisers and battleships), Germany has destroyers and their 1000+ subs but not much else (unless we get more WWI-era ships, which wouldn't surprise me since the Kaiserliche Marine actually didn't suck, unlike the Kriegsmarine, and would be better than more paper wunderwaffe bullshit), Italy and France are still good, the Soviet Union is very limited in terms of backliners (unless we throwback to the Russian Empire) but otherwise fine.
