1. What would be the residual value at the end of the lease?  What would be the capitalized cost on the lease agreement?  Are you trading anything in, and is that credit being applied to reduce the capitalized cost?

  2. Did you flair this when you posted it, or are the mods adding a passive aggressive flair to posts now?

  3. This happened to my wife's machine when it couldn't detect the M.2 drive anymore because the motherboard battery had died.   Every time it powered down, BIOS reverted back to default settings instead of the M.2 as C drive configuration of settings.

  4. My wife (girlfriend at the time) and I were trying to watch Game of Thrones together over the phone by both starting the episode at the same time.  On my end, as I hit the "restart" button on "Mother's Mercy," the season 5 finale, to start it up I hear her blurt out "John snow died!?!?!"

  5. That math isn't adding up right for the truck to only be $95k because the total loan amount was $95,410.31 with that rate and payment.  That means the truck was even more expensive and could only be a 2500/3500 Heavy Duty, or he had substantial negative equity in the trade that got rolled into the obscene price.

  6. Property taxes on lease vehicles are paid by the lessor, and then billed to you by them.  The taxes have likely been paid each year by the lessor and you may have an outstanding balance to settle with them that is not included in your monthly lease payments.

  7. Im just gonna use wemod and hope they have a fast travel/warp option lol

  8. Fuck yeah!  Love seeing more people reference WeMod.  It's the only way for me to avoid the time sink stuff in Ubisoft games that they sell DLC to get around too.

  9. They do free weekends of Uplay+ or whatever it is called now.  I beat Valhalla across a couple free trials like that.  Lol

  10. "I don't think of myself as a lion. You might as well, though, I have a mighty roar."

  11. Formula 710 because it has phosphates in it to get rid of hard water stains on my clear glass.

  12. I don't understand, are the men barred from viewing the other art because it is located in the Ladies' Lounge area where they are denied entry?

  13. I totally get that aspect, I just wasn't sure if it could in any way undermine the defense because it is excluding someone from art from another artist, that IS on display, though maybe still technically as part of this performance piece.  I didn't know if that had any bearing at all on how the case could be decided.

  14. Someone on the other post said there was $14k negative equity rolled into this loan and the MSRP was like $78k

  15. That's still missing another $15,000 in the total amount financed.  Even with Sales Tax included, it would still have $9,000 or $10,000 additional included.  Either there was a lot more negative equity, or they also went crazy buying everything they could for aftermarket products.

  16. This math doesn't make sense to me and seems like people comparing rebates to returns, but they shouldn't be considered equivalent, I thought.  The rewards are a rebate that reduces your overall spend amount in essence, so you still come out behind compared to a HYSA.

  17. the main idea is that I don’t think I was “tricked”. I’m going to spend this in the next 6 months anyways. Just buying at a better rate than normal. I’m definitely going to take a flight in the next year, even if it doesn’t pay a full flight but just a partial flight I’m still getting the value from the points, it’s cash in my pocket in the end, just seeing it from the long view.

  18. Ah, I see.  I wasn't clicking with why the lock-in to travel based points made it so valuable for you, but something that close makes plenty of sense.  There's no way HYSA will match that type of value, and market return isn't guaranteed.   Thanks for the response!

  19. I think it's probably more from privileged millennials who want to pretend they worked hard to get all they have instead of the truth that they had a head start.

  20. ROFL, I didn't read the text first and was sitting here going "I like the new seat design in these newer models."

  21. I don't know your location or the money you have tied up in this, but Carfax shows a Lunar Rock 2023 ORP with 6,100 miles on it in Greensboro, NC.

  22. Interesting! Has anyone tried this yet that can comment on how they liked it? FreetaxUSA always is so pain free, I’m not convinced the IRS can make it any simpler unless they just tell me what I owe/receive.

  23. I've used TaxAct through the IRS link for 2 years now.  It is essentially the same style interface as TurboTax, but without all the bloat and ads.   It has been great both years.  It is ONLY free through the IRS link though, so you have to start your return that way.

  24. I wish people who did these things were the ones that had to deal with the consequences, I feel like people just become desensitized to the fact that someone has to deal with their selfish thoughtless actions later down the line. Making people take accountability for their actions would be a better way to teach them and discourage them from continuing to do the same harmful thing.

  25. Yeah!  Blame people for believing fraudulent advertising!  How dare we not hold individuals accountable for problems that they couldn't have created by themselves!

  26. Just recently had my onyx Volcano serviced for the heating element not working correctly after just under 3 years of daily use.  They fixed it under warranty and sent it back right away.  Only issue was they didn't clean it like they historically did with service requests.  Definitely still recommending them to everyone.

  27. There is no law requiring a business to honor an obvious pricing error.  You're just being an asshole to customer service agents if you keep hassling them for this issue.

  28. What would fall under Online Retailer option then?

  29. Amazon is probably a really good example for that actually.  I can buy a physical copy of a game or a digital code for the storefront to download that game for Nintendo Switch from Amazon.  That is because Amazon has a contract to provide retail copies of the game, and that contract requires them to adhere to pricing requirements.

  30. So you say, stores like Fanatical do not have retailer agreement with publishers?

  31. I don't mean to sound condescending, but you may not actually be cancelling it.

  32. I received 2 emails confirming both subscriptions were cancelled.

  33. No way around it then.  If you got email confirmations then you can do a charge back with no repercussions.  The bank will side with you no matter what.
