1. Technically speaking that's more because the really sweet wine was stored in metal pots that had lead in them, and the acid in the wine leeched the lead from the container

  2. How the fuck.did we not realize lead was poisonous for over a thousand years? Was there some kind of lead illuminati?

  3. Idk why but it's so funny to me that for most of the series the Sole Survivor is just sleeping in a fridge

  4. Nah I’ll gladly forget about this stuff wings would suck antlers would suck because they would fall out and bleed seasonally and digitigrade legs lost out to what we got now.

  5. Hexagons are good and all (which make triangles grid better than hexagon grids, because you can draw hexagons on triangle grids) but they don't translate well in 3d, hence cubes are the undisputed best regular tiling of space by platonic solids

  6. It has its moments, but the change to a voiced protagonist seriously gimped the amount of player choice for dialogue. That said, it is serviceable enough. I feel like Bethesda tends to focus way more on immersion/atmosphere and gameplay than they do narrative and plot.

  7. I don't think the voiced protagonist is what reduced the amount of player choice, I think it was the speech wheel, which meant there always had to be exactly 4 dialogue options, and the overall quest design didn't offer many choices either.

  8. People really don’t like when new fans give their opinions, huh lol. I have been a Fallout fan for over a decade and I will just say that the Fallout community is one of the most elitist, gatekeepy, obnoxious, self absorbed communities in the gaming industry. I love all the games for different reasons, yet some, particularly New Vegas fans, make it very hard to be part of the community, and this show coming out proves why

  9. 4 is like, objectively the best game for a new fan of the series to get into, regardless of its actual quality compared to prior games. 3 and New Vegas have far too clunky gameplay, and 1 and 2 aren't even on the table unless they've already played similar games.

  10. /uj whats the consensus on prosthetics for amputee characters as inclusivity

  11. 90% of the time in fantasy or sci-fi they're exclusively beneficial so I don't think they really count as disabilities

  12. Once you've done it once there really isn't anything different to do. I have nothing against Bethesda's "gotta find my family" main quests, they just don't lead to a lot of replay-ability. What makes New Vegas so replayable is the Platinum Chip aspect of the game. You can only find your kid or dad once, but you can give The Chip to different people each time, and that gives you many more endings to explore.

  13. Yeah they're just gonna conjure scrap metal, mechanical components, medicine, plastic and all other stuff they need to build and expand their underground paradise out of thin fucking air with magic

  14. Maybe listen to the dialogue of the game before being what seems like aggressively sarcastic. They say once the reactor is supplying power, they will be totally self sufficient.

  15. How would they be "totally self sufficient" when they can't get any of the resources required for further development without going to the surface? In addition, we literally see synths on the surface protecting checkpoints and in diamond city after the Institute ending.

  16. George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, uhh Barack Obama, idk who Terry Pratchett is but their name is in my head... uhhhhh Adolf Hitler?

  17. Is a hole the absence of space, or the entrance to said absence?

  18. Absence of space? What is the absence of space? Not even the void of space is the absence of space. You mean the absence of plastic?

  19. Human evolution is really crazy. So many different things converged together into one big virtuous cycle that kept making us smarter

  20. It's not surprising we all thought we were specially created by some God figure, on a surface we're completely different than 90% of animals we see

  21. It's cooking, not toilet paper. Homo erectus discovered fire, cooked with it. Cooking is basically predigestion so larger brains and smaller guts were naturally selected for + less powerful digestive system. Smaller bodies, etc. So we got really good at throwing shit, making simple stone tools, and obviously, cooking with the Red Ouch Flower

  22. Exploits are like drugs. I am addicted to item duping

  23. It’s nowhere near the same thing though..? The NCR didn’t turn into evil flying metal men because they lost an already declining city.

  24. Woah guys what if that's the plot twist.the NCR actually became the Brotherhood of steal

  25. Post from an alternate universe where Donald Trump is gay and uses Tumblr

  26. This isn't how the rule of three works in comedy. You don't do the same punchline three times
