1. The Sneinton Shuffle or The Downhill Derby (derby road) are all decent bar crawls.

  2. I think I was 3 or 4 when my dad started letting me play on his PC. I think it was around 1997/1998, when I got my first hand me down PC, so I would of been roughly 6 or 7.

  3. This is why ‘nepo babies’ push back. The point isn’t that they didn’t work hard, that they aren’t talented or that they can’t make the grade, they just competed against shorter odds.

  4. Yes but that isn't why people call Nepo babies, Nepo Babies.

  5. The above is an example of nepotism though, who her parents were helped get her the job when everything else was equal.

  6. Circa 2008 you used to be able to go out on £20 + Taxi Money.

  7. Muslim head covers aren't banned for racism.

  8. All religious clothing is banned in French Schools.

  9. Headscarves aren't banned in public like most people claim, just face coverings secular or religious. Even then private vehicles and/or at a religious ceremonies or services are exempt. So the reason most people give doesn't really exists.

  10. Oh sure, it coulda been a secret force thing that he had to protect and figure out, but that doesn’t evolve the character of Luke. That makes Luke static. He’s the same heroic guy from Episode VI. The version of Luke we got was complex and compelling and cool. We want our heroes to be flawed. The thing you pitched makes him a superhero. Like Superman. Superman is boring. What we got was Iron Man. So much better.

  11. If you want to show development of such a beloved character you need to see it develop on screen.

  12. Disagree, I think RJ understood what Star Wars is about and JJ Abrams at the helm is what destroyed it. Luke was in exile and the Rebels had to seek out this stupid map just to find him, obviously Luke's already given up and not on some sort of magical quest like, oh wait, find the magical Sith Rebel Fleet to finish off the First Order. Luke's school was destroyed by Ben, his own nephew, all the students killed, I understood Mark Hamill's frustration but JJ Abrams set it up, not RJ. RJ followed the next logical step of the story and made the best out of it, and then JJ Abrams threw him under the bus as if himself didn't create this pile of shit in the first place.

  13. If you read the interviews where you see how the films were set up for both JJ Abrams and Rian to fail.

  14. Psych doctor? That sounds extremely americanised. There's usually only 1 or 2 quite junior doctors on nights at entire mental health hospitals. If a patient is being admitted (common any time day or night) they have to fully assess person prior to this.

  15. My partner did their Psych placement last year, and yes even over here they do call it that.

  16. There’s a two I can think of that does this. Bunk (not sure if all of them do it but the one at hydrogen building defo does) also juice bar

  17. One of the Bunks has one of those Arcade1up mini arcade machines. Albeit it's not particularly solid.

  18. Glass house has a good arcade, a lot of modern machines but really fun

  19. There are some things to point out. MS has only really had success with Halo, Gears, Forza, and Fable. MS did make a Banjo Kazooie game but it didn't sell well. Now that is out of the way.

  20. Well as far as I'm aware from other flat owners here, that wall's lasted 20 odd years without any problems until today. And it wasn't a nudge with the corner of the van, it was full on reversed into with the back end.

  21. Tbh it looks like the other parts of the wall have fallen over at different periods of time.

  22. Well, it's certainly better than putting Windsor Castle next to Heathrow. What was the Queen thinking?!

  23. I tell you what, having a castle next to the airfield doesn't seem so stupid when the Russian Paratroopers try to capture it askin to the Battle for Antonov Airport

  24. As someone else has said once he had filled the fuel up arguably there is a debt at that point and in which case the defenition of legal tender applies

  25. Only if they take him to court and the court orders the payment. At which point he would pay the funds to the court (without being able to demand any change) and they would pay the petrol station.

  26. I actually really want a tattoo, but I’m so neurotic about what image I want permanently etched onto me that I haven’t decided on it in like 8 years. I still cannot come to a decision on it.

  27. It goes in circles and roundabouts. When I got my first tattoo around 2009 the selection wasn't great. Over the next few years custom tattoos were all the rage.

  28. The council thinking is typically that if they can encourage students to live in purpose built accommodation such as this, it leaves potential to free up housing which would otherwise by HMOs for students.

  29. Doesn't work simply because of induced demand that the universities have created. This means the number of students are rising faster than the accomodation is being built.

  30. Back in the day (pre Covid) I used to pay double pay to the staff if they worked after 10:30pm New Year's or on Xmas Eve, Xmas Day or Boxing Day.

  31. If you love seafood, Lobster Pot on Mansfield road is probably the best in Nottingham!

  32. Have you been to pizzamisu? They make incredible neapolitan style pizzas, best pizza in town imo

  33. Oooo that is a good shout, with it's location I always forget about it while in town!

  34. Weirdly enough out of the three contenders for the title in Nottingham it's the newest 😅

  35. My old local l, the Nags Head in Barby, Leicestershire was built in the 14th century and recently had to have one side the building completely redone as it was starting to lean too much (made out of sandstone)

  36. Worse than the release of Counterstrike 1.6 which required Steam - an app that was universally hated when it was released?

  37. I remember in 2009 when Empire Total War was announced to require steam to run. The whole total war community was pissed that we required third party software for the game to run and act as DRM.

  38. The job is open to you . If your not happy with what they do join in, above all don't sit back and moan about it.

  39. It's likely the 'pool' of what you consider younger men is increasing all the time.

  40. You say it's a brewery chain, but then blame it on being a co-op pub?

  41. Also, always use a beer mat, don't flirt with bartenders as their dads are probably on one side of the bar or the other and if the front door was shut when you came in, close it behind you.

  42. I remember when I was 22 my ex brought me a wedding band to wear on nights out..... to stop girls hitting on me 😬
