1. I had a caseworker who raised her voice at me and called me stupid. Me, a person who is mentally disabled and on so many medicines I could barely think. Needless to say, either she got fired or she initiated the process for a new caseworker because a month later my caseworker had changed.

  2. I’ve never had luck with making appropriate complaints to the corresponding authorities so I’m not going to bother in this case. I’m giving that sub a look since another Redditor suggested it as well. Thank you!

  3. You may find some of the info and resources at TELL helpful (google 'Therapy Exploitation Link Line').

  5. According to JKR circa early 2000s, there’s about 1000 students. Every year fluctuates and sorting isn’t done to maintain equal numbers in houses. I went to a school of only about 150 and met two people I never knew on graduation day.

  6. Now, that’s crazy. I had 250 in my graduating class and I knew most of them over the 4 years I was there.

  7. Sounds unethical to me. You should have at least been given a termination session. At least

  8. I’ve never had a termination session for all the therapists I’ve seen.

  9. My favorite thing to do is talk to the person who got cut off and eventually shift the attention back to them.

  10. it has a dial for a gear shift. On the console, not far from the radio volume dial. I have a Pacifica.

  11. My car has a dial for a gear shift, but at least it’s by the cup holders and not right next to the volume dial.

  12. People born in 1959 would be 63-64, and the traditional term elderly starts at around 65, so yeah, they would be considered elderly. Also where did that come into play? OP just said they were inconsiderate for ignoring messages for something they ordered to their own home.

  13. I never assume what the customer is doing. They could be pooping & be having a bad diarrhea day and left their phone too far away. Cut her some slack, you have every right to return the wine, but the hostility is unnecessary

  14. This is just a general life pro tip. Look at facts instead of feelings or what you feel is true. There are many reasons why the customer wasn’t able to answer and forgot to include the door code and automatically assuming that they were being malicious makes OP look like the AH.

  15. I would suggest to not have sex until they have a better understanding of how things work and then use protection properly if they still want to have sex but have no kid.

  16. This is absolutely not normal, not good for your skin, and a waste of water. I take one long shower a week (30 minutes or so) where I wash my hair, shave, exfoliate, and moisturize. I shower every day at least once but that shower only takes 5-8 minutes at the most. If I sweat a lot throughout the day or I just feel gross because of the weather, then I will take a quick shower before I go to bed. 3-4 45 minute showers a day is excessive and unnecessary.

  17. They might be in the tip of southern Carribean

  18. You…you had an ingrown toe nail removed without anesthetic?

  19. That’s some terrifying shit. How that didn’t hurt immediately is a testament to your strength. I made sure that fucker was a numb as some Eskimo balls before I let them anywhere near my toe.

  20. I have no clue as to why it didn’t hurt at the moment, and it doesn’t make sense as to why it didn’t start hurting so bad until almost 24 hours after it was done. Don’t recommend. I’m not sure receiving the anesthetic at the moment would’ve prevented the pain long after.

  21. I had to read the threads of the first 10 comments to realize that you were asking about working and not labor as in giving birth. Anyways, I would rather do either under hot sun. When it gets below 50F my bones start hurting. When it’s really hot, I may struggle to breathe but the rest of my body isn’t affected.

  22. In my experience, the regular Targets have a small to mid-size grocery section, while the Super Targets have essentially a full grocery store, with like, a butcher counter and bakery and whatnot.

  23. Sugar is sugar, at least when you're watching your weight. If the juices are from concentrate it still counts

  24. Fruits have sugar. That’s what makes them sweet. How do you want them to have a natural fruit juice with no sugar?

  25. Just eat the fruit or make the smoothie yourself. When you have juice from concetrate you still get the dietary sugars without the fiber from the fruit to help digest them

  26. It’s awesome that this was never something you did. Don’t start now. Get someone to babysit one night so you and your wife can relax, but don’t make a habit of drinking and disappearing from your wife and child.

  27. Yes, we notice the nips. But most of us are polite and don’t say anything.

  28. Nipples can show with or without a bra. I learned this the unfortunate way.

  29. I lucked out because my aunts and cousins have had a history of drug and alcohol abuse, among other things, to where I became the favorite once my grandparents knew I'd graduate high school. Which means I'm constantly hearing shit talk about other family members. I just hope they don't ever hear about it.

  30. My one cousin is not a great person and straight-up abusive towards my grandmother, yet she’s still her favorite. I’ll never understand. I was never a bad grandchild towards her but she would toss me aside like I was trash.

  31. There's a lot of more shadier stuff that go on in Amish communities. Like churches and their sexual abuse of children. Though that's also the Catholic Church, so I guess I can't blame them specifically. But they're even less likely to be held accountable.

  32. Getting nee stuff that you don’t want to use because you want to keep it new so you can resell it later. Saving everything even if it’s broken because you never know when you’re going to need it. Using what you have until it’s impossible for you to use it anymore.

  33. Same! It blows my mind that people pay $10+ for spaghetti at restaurants. I ate so much spaghetti with tomato sauce growing up that I stay far away from anything that resembles spaghetti noodles or that has tomato sauce.
