1. Is there truly a resolution to this conflict that doesn't involve the total and absolute destruction of either Palestine or Israel?

  2. Where's the guy who's ex was sheltering at the airport? Is it the same one that's under attack right now?

  3. Yes, Ben Gurion Airport is the only international airport in Tel Aviv. I don't really talk to her anymore; we've been separated for years and are both in a new relationship. But even then, I've been thinking about her a lot today. I think everybody we've dated is a part of us.

  4. People who weren’t around for 9/11…does this feel like “the” international event of your youth/lifetime so far? Always curious to hear how significant historical events are perceived/impact people.

  5. If there is a population growth, it's not a genocide. Educate yourself, leave your hateful bias and the lies you were told.

  6. Just FYI, genocide isn't just murder, it's the killing of an entire culture. Things such as "re-education camps" and raping women count as genocide.

  7. but there are no r-education camps in Israel. Also, no systematic rape, so what is your point? But I can ask my arab neighbor if that helps

  8. I never said there were. I was just explaining what genocide is. I didn't claim Israel was committing it...

  9. The dose of phenibut in these wouldn't dull the effects of stimulants. Pheni and stims honestly mix very very well together. Phenibut gives me some stimulation.

  10. Phenibut + stims is a straight ticket to God mode. Err, mania.

  11. Guy is one of the most evil creatures alive but damn is he tacky.

  12. This entire ordeal still stinks of shit to me. Prigozhin hasn't publicly denounced Putin but rather defended him ("the MoD is misleading Putin...Putin does no wrong.") Is it possible this is some play to give Putin an out?

  13. UN and Red Cross being useless for the umpteenth time? I am shooketh!

  14. Red Cross is a terrible organization to act as the face of humanitarian aid. As is the UN - which, as we've seen, is next to useless.

  15. This is perhaps the one thing Zelenskyy misses--or just doesn't say aloud for good reason.

  16. How do you propose any organization fix a massive dam in the middle of a war zone?

  17. We are commonly told that side effects like this aren’t common for people who repeatedly use ketamine in a clinical setting. OP I hope you’ll share more info with us. Route of administration and frequency would be helpful.

  18. It's probably safe to assume there are thousands of users here who take prescription ketamine. With such a large sample, rare side effects are sure to appear.

  19. I ate a frostie from Wendy's on my way home from the hospital the day following surgery. And then soup that night.

  20. Damn this thread is outright racist. Apparently, Indian doctors will rush you into a procedure for money, are inexperienced and wholly unqualified, and have "shoddy hands".

  21. I’m the one who said Indian doctors will rush you for money and I’m from India. there is nothing racist about it. It’s the reality in India. Education system is useless and surgeons can even kill a person and not fear anyone in this country cause no one can hold them accountable

  22. He had people with no medical credentials seeing patients, adjusting dosages, and authorizing refills for a CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE. That's a blatant violation of DEA regulations. And if he's willing to do that out in the open, who knows what else was going on behind the scenes. Sure, he helped people. He also prescribed thousands of doses of ketamine illegally. Of course he got shut down. It's not the least bit shocking, no matter what he says.

  23. I had been with Dr. Smiths services for 11 months and only the first month did I see him. Every time since it has been someone without any formal credentials. They're very nice and courteous but clearly unqualified to handle medical care. Like, what the fuck is a "ketamine coach" anyways?

  24. As a Russian who lives in Japan and happens to love Japanese literature, I politely disagree. I've read a good deal of WW2-era literature. Honestly, the Japanese civilian perspective of the war is eerily similar to that of Russia today. It's a big reason why I believe that modern Russia is in fact analogous to the Japan of that era. And the Japanese perspective of the war during that era was one of unquestioning loyalty to the country and the regime. Even in stuff that was censored and was not released until after the war was over you'll be very hard pressed to find any criticism of the regime. And ultimately everyone, down to the small regular people, was willing to do whatever it takes to achieve victory and could absolutely not believe that anything but victory is possible. Even with cities burned down people still worked the factories and volunteered money and labor to help the front, and were proud of it.

  25. The vast majority of posters here (including myself) are from first world nations and simply could not imagine facing adversity such as famine or severe poverty without revolting in some fashion. The selfishness goes as far as putting their self over their country, as they should. What we're forgetting is that Russians have faced tragedy most if not all their lives and actually believe suffering for the "motherland" to be the greatest good. As a result, they let ruthless dictators take full advantage of them - it's their literal history after all.

  26. Anybody know how to improve your relationship with your self and come to love yourself?

  27. Anyone here that's also a functional drug addict?

  28. I am functionally dependent upon prescription substances that are otherwise considered "hard" drugs (Adderall, ketamine). They improve my quality of life significantly.

  29. Not really. Most contemporary philosophers of free will already assume a deterministic physical universe. Some argue free will is an illusion. Some argue that free will is compatible with a deterministic physical universe. And there is scientific evidence of "free-won't," like a complex form of avoidant behavior. Some argue free will is an emergent property.

  30. This is true, compatabilism is the most popular position on free will among contemporary philosophers. The universe is obviously deterministic, even though there might be some randomness, that randomness isn't the freedom to choose otherwise. After all, there is no permanent substance or self to make decisions in the first place, just a biological computer.

  31. The World can't be deterministic AND have some randomness. AFIK those two things are mutually exclusive. I would go further and say that by definition a deterministic World means there can be no free will.

  32. I didn't assert that it can be. This is out of my field of inquiry. What I said is that randomness, if it exists, doesn't permit free will. It's just randomness.

  33. Given what you've said, no. But she needs to be monitored very closely to ensure she doesn't have a seizure as the drugs leave her system. A seizure can cause permanent brain damage.

  34. What’s the point of having 1,000TB of RAM if a small and 50X cheaper machine can do the same work with less RAM? Lol. No matter how u cut it, that 50k machine with all those IO ports you mention, the amazing GPUs you can have, the amazing amounts of RAM u can have, will now net you $99 for a trade-in, the price on an AppleTV. And the latest models of apple silicon can OUTPERFORM all of those specs u mention, at again, 50X cheaper. Nothing you can do to a Mac Pro can make it perform BETTER than a M1 Max or Ultra.

  35. Some specialized software uses tons of RAM and not as much compute power.

  36. Wow. Can u imagine how the owners of those Macs felt after seeing the Apple Silicon specs? I KNOW there’s a few audio/video engineers that maxed that puppy out at over $50k, only to have a $1.3K Mini take it’s glory. Wholly crap. To make matters worse, the going trade-in for those Macs are $99 on Apple’s website!! What a slap in the face. 😅

  37. Anyone dumping $50k on a pre-built Mac pro clearly doesn't care about the cost. It's way cheaper to upgrade the RAM yourself for example.

  38. K-hole is more of being dissociated or feeling separate from one's self. "Ego death" is a dissolution of the self altogether. High dose ket can result in ego death but not all k-holes involve ego death.

  39. The ACT and SAT are not IQ test. They are basic knowledge test (unless there have been major changes in the last 25 years). Even the so called gold standard of IQ test (Mensa) are extremely limited due to the factors that you listed and many others. IQ test have little to no benefits but have been used as an excuse to demean and abuse large portions of the global population and limit learning and occupational opportunities.

  40. The first night I tried Lithium Orotate, I slept amazingly, and the increase in sleep quality was reflected on my smartwatch. The next day, I was very alert and cognizant. Since then, it has provided a subtle but noticeable relief in anxiety but less improvement in sleep quality.

  41. I am purchasing a dedicated e-reader and are going to separate from my phone. I'm seriously at my wits end with technology and genuinely feel as though the 24/7 instant access to social media, porn, news, etc is ruining my life.
