VS subscriptions are not for company projects. In fact, they're designed to be attached to a Microsoft Account (MSA; like @outlook.com). Lots of people accidentally attach them to their corporate Work or School Accounts. They should be used for personal learning and experimentation.
Old but, the reason I couldn't use the VS Sub is because this project was for something we were trying to sell. It was for commercial purposes and at the time I believed the VS Subs were for learning/training purposes exclusively.

The last time I did it on the same disk the Ubuntu install asks if I wanted to use the whole disk or install alongside Windows. Doesn't it still do that?
Honestly, on a different hard drive is the best way IMO if you can do it that way. That's how I have it and haven't had any issues in a couple of years.,
What does your current portfolio look like? Do you have any broad ESG or target etfs? For an actual answer, I do not have one. I recently moved a big chunk of my main portfolio over to LCTU and LCTD... They are new so I could be making a mistake but it's index is on a lower carbon transition. It's actively managed with very low fees for an active. May not be what you're looking for though, but I am curious about other folks thoughts are on these.

If you are open to lifestyle changes you could try an anti-inflammatory diet. Less extreme, I drink and turmeric/ginger tea that has helped my joint pain tremendously and also take GNC triflex turmeric or glucosamine supplements.

Look up temporary residency visas and see if you can qualify for any either by funds in bank or by having external employment/self-employed.
Unfortunately the temporary residence permit only allows me re-entry for 90 days every 180 days. And I would like to stay in Luxembourg year round.

Yes, it does let me do that. Except that Everytime I select that option it decides to install it on a different hard drive.

The technology is free to use. It's open source just as Bitcoin is. So no, they aren't selling any of these Enterprise blockchains.
