1. I'm in the same age group, and I feel this way, too. I have assumed it's just generalized anxiety as I get older, but I can never pinpoint a reason. It's scary.

  2. In my 30s and the world is what it’s always has been. The only difference is that most of the world got a bit of a wake up call with the pandemic.

  3. This thread is the embodiment of everything I can’t stand about BSA/cub scouts.

  4. Heh, my Cub Scout pack does. My ex is insistent that our son goto it. I struggle because I honestly don’t believe in the values being taught.

  5. 192.168.0.0 because I VPN into work and work uses 10.0.0.0/8.

  6. None of those, have had some really shit networking teams that would pull those spaces in over the vpn. Started using the range reserved for docs, so 203.0.113.x. Haven’t had any issues since

  7. I’m 30 too dude, we literally grew up with technology.. were millennials. I also have kids, not an issue in anyway. And you know just because the kiosk took your order doesn’t mean if something is wrong you can’t talk to an employee? You guys are too stubborn and stuck in your ways for your own good lol

  8. lol talking to employee. The last time I ordered something at McDonald’s via the kiosk it took 20 minutes to get and the employees hid in back.

  9. Cap. You’re either being hyperbolic or you’re retarded. 20 minutes is an insane amount of time to click 5-7 buttons per meal. And what McDonald’s can they hide in the back? Literally everyone I’ve been to the workers making food are in view, and someone has to bring you your food. Like you’re full of shit or should probably wear a helmet when you leave the house.

  10. Most of the ones around me you can’t see easily into the back, or they understaff so there are two or three people doing everything. So five minutes to order at the kiosk, 20+ minute wait for the food and everyone hiding in back. Welcome to the level of service tech brings. Love the app though, just not the kiosks.

  11. Number 8 lol. I moved all my stuff to ether Mac OS is FreeBSD, why? Because Linux is easy at this point and it’s not fun.

  12. Why can’t a lawyer help? Is there a way to get a no contact order? I thought it need a lawyer for that?

  13. NAL, but, you can file an emergency protection order at the court house on your own. Good chance I twill be granted at which point a hearing will be setup to see if it will be extended into a full PO.

  14. This is very helpful! Thank you!!!!!!

  16. Whats the point of owning these devices except from having amazon constantly listen to you at home ?

  17. Siri basically replaced my ex, which I think speaks more to the value my ex had in the relationship then anything. Siri was more helpful and didn’t fight about random little things :p

  18. Or just use VS Code/ium and the remote pack or SSH FS if your host isn’t smart enough to run the VS code server

  19. Will work, until Microsoft requires a newer version of glibc. Yay for centos 7.6 hosts!

  20. SFTP through the SSH FS extension doesn’t care what version of glibc you run on the server even if it’s not quite as good as the remote extension

  21. Interesting, going to have to poke that a bit when a get a moment. Right now been using it as a reason to try and push the teams away from CentOS 7.6.

  22. This and a two drive fail safe which I know isn't backup, but helps. Everthing I have is basically media which can be gotten again over time. My import stuff is on OneDrive.

  23. Same! But iCloud for me, coupled with time capsule in an airport with a new drive on it. I used to have a bad backing up to another nas, but storage space is turning into an issue

  24. “She testified that during a trial in 2002, she heard the pump during the emotional testimony of a murdered toddler’s grandfather.”

  25. That horrible, but that's such a weird way to characterize someone. A toddlers grandfather? He was just a man with kids that had kids, idk why it's so specific to a toddler.

  26. Think it’s the grandfather of a murdered toddler that was on the stand at the time.

  27. Roosevelt stating he wouldn’t run again. He split the ballot letting Wilson win, who by all accounts was one of the worst presidents of all time. we are still dealing with problems that he, ether directly or indirectly caused.

  28. But reconstruction was, in the eyes of most historians, a huge failure. Add that to the fact that Grant's administrations were generally seen as corrupt (both in how he handled reconstruction and in other things), and its hard to see Grant's presidency in an altogether positive light.

  29. Grant the man was great, his down fall was he was trusting, which then lead to the corruption. As a military leader, he was second to maybe only Sherman.

  30. My daughter(5) and son(7) have it banned at my house, they don’t have an issue with it. At their mother’s house they have full access because “the tv just has it, and we can’t restrict that”.

  31. If it’s single occupancy, they should all be gender neutral.

  32. I think we can all agree that there are some circumstances where punching someone is justified (self-defense, sexual assault, extreme situations.) I would definitely want more details to understand what went down. The OP however gives no indication of an extreme situation occurring.

  33. Which is all i am saying, it’s lacking a lot of context. She also claims in another comment that she’s not a fan of her son standing up for him self in hockey, which inherently is much more contact than soccer. It just feels odd to me.

  34. I guess I'm fucked because my home network uses 10.0.x.x... /s

  35. Mine uses 203.0.113.0/24, because I had conflicts with corporate vpns when using a 192 or 10 address. If someone out there is using the range reserved for documents, they are doing it wrong.

  36. Reminds me of the days where people would sue gun makers, we should go back to those days.

  37. I can't believe that these people got their audience to go around and, with fear in their voices, talk about "agents of the hospital"

  38. What fear, more apathy really. Ether way, it's just another example of abuse of power that should result in it being shutdown regardless of the outcome to the community. Yes the community should be punished for the hospitals actions.

  39. You sound like q lot of fun. What a way to go through life. Get out and get some sunshine, pet a dog, find a girlfriend……

  40. Don't think my wife would like that much. Also already have a dog, though I have been much of more of a cat person.

  41. 1500 followers isn't a career, her defending her self isn't slandering you. You harassing her is the problem here.

  42. They do show up a few times in DS9, VOY, and the TNG movies.

  43. I forgot with of the original movies, but I remember crew running in with them and the blast doors closing behind them.

  44. You'd give your 11 year old unlimited and unsupervised acces to the internet? 24/7?

  45. Nope I have two, 5 and 7. And I never said that, but mistake my words. Also by the time they are 11 I am hopeful they will know enough about technology to get around parental controls, and teach other kids. Or I feel like I kinda filed as a parent.
