1. New? Either way, that’s a smoking deal!

  2. Agreed, no-one likes it. But if you’re going to make one and want to show it to others without fear of your dog getting ATF’ed, a Form 1 is your best bet.

  3. I tried a LF tanfoglio, but the SA/DA trigger still breaks too far back for my preference. I ended up selling the S2 since I got a better finger placement on my G45.

  4. 100%! The reach reduction kit is my #1 upgrade recommendation. I prefer the ArmoryCraft flat DA/SA trigger because of the vertical serrations on the face of the trigger, but would be interested in trying the Eemann flat trigger on my next project.

  5. I'll add, except for those with big hands and long fingers. I've got huge mitts and want a reach extension kit that eliminates takeup, creep, and has a short reset. I can dream...

  6. I have it and the shadow 2 kit installed on my s2 I have a sub 2lb trigger and like 5.5 double action

  7. Sounds awesome. I see Eemann Tech has different spring kits. Which one did you install to get these results? Perhaps one of these?

  8. You can get a used drill press for less than this kit, but buying the right sized

  9. Came to post this. It’s a bummer all around. We can blame the kids for being stupid, but the reality is this is why kids need to be taught gun safety. We are not born with innate gun safety skills. Watching TV and movies sure ain’t going to teach safe handling.

  10. Great choice! Also my first gun back in the day. Get mags and shoot it as much as you can. They’re such a good deal these days.

  11. Depends on what you use it for. There’s a compelling argument that if you’re using it for a defensive gun, you’re increasing your legal risk if lighten the trigger and you actually use it defensively.

  12. If it’s anything like the Fischer Development 9mm suppressor it’ll be near the bottom for sound reduction, but it’s because you’ll be compromising sound reduction for the ability to CCW a Pistol and a Quick-attach suppressor.

  13. That’s exactly what I was reminded of.

  14. hypothetically if you got a tax stamp to manufacture this would you be able to keep revising it (re-printing) and destroy the old one?

  15. Pretty sure you’re not allowed by the ATF to reprint after you complete your Form 1 build.

  16. My favorite thing to use the Blackbeard for is DryFireOnline. Get a cheap projector set up and use an old phone to pickup the laser shots. Then use the online tool to set up your own custom stages and go at it. The possibilities are almost endless.

  17. If they patented it, look up the patent and figure out how to get around it, assuming you want to not infringe on the patent.

  18. You can make patented items for personal use. You just can commercialize a product using a patented design.

  19. The person you spoke with is a moron, save the money and get your slide milled by a reputable company (Wager).

  20. 100%. Wager does good work for great prices. If you really don’t want to mill your own slide check out

  21. Not quite. It’s designed to show YOU all of the things YOU might be likely to buy based upon YOUR(and to a lesser extent people “like you”)purchase history at amazon, browsing habits from online trackers, and unstructured data it gets from eavesdropping(with your permission no less) via apps and intelligent voice assistants like Alexa. 30-35% of Amazon’s retail-side revenue is generated by its recommendation engine. You don’t hit that type of correlation between user want/need and recommendation without a lot of user-specific data. If those recommendations were concerning to you, it might be time to evaluate your digital footprint.

  22. This is a much more accurate description of the mechanisms in play.

  23. Romeo5 seems to have a good reputation at or around that price point, as does the TRS-25.

  24. This post has everything you need to know. GAFS + patience and you’ll get a very good deal. For my budget builds I buy a used TRS-25. If a build is a step up, I use a new Romeo5. Also search

  25. I don’t think either makes a difference in ATF processing. I have a single NGT trust for all my NFA stuff and it’s a very little more work to send the trust documentation to SilencerShop to do a Form 4 with/through them for my local FFL with a kiosk. But it’s not hard at all. SilencerShop is also nice because they submit to the ATF on your behalf and make sure your application is good to go. They only charge $5 extra dollars for this, although their employees get access to your privileged trust information.

  26. Just a heads up, my dagger does not feed hollow points at all, is a jam on the feed ramp every time. Not sure if mine is a bad one, or if it’s common. Solid cheap fun for fmj range gun tho. Make sure to get the right optic cut if may want one in future.

  27. Polishing the feed ramp may make it run like a champ.

  28. Cool rivers in deep canyons and alot of flat land you can scrape for sun stones. I’m sure there’s more but that’s what I remember

  29. Yes! Sunstone hunting is free and fun. Bring a free standing tent though. Staking a tent is not easy at most camp areas. The commercial services to pick through a front loader bucket on a sorter is well worth the money too.

  30. I installed the Cajun Pro Kit. It was the first trip to the range since I installed the pro kit. 2nd mag. I was still testing out my carry ammo with the new kit because I'm paranoid, and I test it every time I change anything. Ran the first mag empty, inserted the second mag and dropped the slide with the slide stop. That's when the gun went off. No pressure was applied to the trigger. Ammo used was the Winchester USA Ready Defense 124 grain +P

  31. Was your finger inside the trigger guard or outside the trigger guard? Did you install the extended firing pin?

  32. I own one and it’s a champ. Great value. Shoots great. Good trigger. Feels like I’m ready for WWI or WWII. But 1911s are definitely antiquated for today’s gun needs other than being a range toy. .
